Clay Green
A brotherhood? Monsters? Goddesses? Magic?
The world has become a strange place.
After a life on the run, Clay Green is rescued by a crazy old lady with a shotgun and an even crazier story about monsters, goddesses, and a secret brotherhood.
Gifted with the power of the earth, Clay must locate his missing “brothers” before invading monsters can destroy everything.
As if that’s not enough to contend with, Clay can’t keep his hands off the man trying to rebuild the plantation house he’s temporarily living in.
Dane Briggs
Something strange is going on…
Dane knew restoring the old plantation house wasn’t going to be an easy job, but at least none of the clients were going to be underfoot. Since losing his wife and child, the only way Dane can keep going is to focus on the work.
But that focus crumbles the second Clay appears covered in blood and barely hanging on to life.
Mystery and danger cling to Clay and the other men who suddenly show up. A smart man would walk away.
Dane chucks smart out the window in favor of hungry kisses and the silken slide of skin against skin. He doesn’t understand what’s happening, but there’s no question that Clay needs him.
He’s just not sure his heart can survive being broken again if something happens to Clay.
Broken Warrior is the first book in The Weavers Circle series. It includes fast-paced action, explosions, hurt/comfort, sexy times, animal shenanigans, wounded hearts, three crazy old ladies, and magic!
REVIEW:
This is the first book in a new series written by Ms. Jocelynn Drake and Ms. Rinda Elliott. It tells us about six brothers, six souls who find each other time and time again, in different lifetimes. It also tells us about the three sisters who are goddesses who hold on to their powers, their magic, until the brothers are ready to have them again, one lifetime at a time!
It is a series full of unusual friendships, magic, chases, fighting against other beings. It is a series of love and finding that special someone, your soul mate, for you. The first book of the series is The Broken Warrior which is Clay and Dane’s story. Clay has been moving all over different places for a while now. He has been experiencing headaches that’s slowly ripping his head off. And he has been fighting what he thought were humans who smell really awful. They keep finding him and he keeps running away from them, after fighting his way through them. And then one time he was cornered in a motel with no way out. But then an old woman with a shotgun saved him. He was brought to a plantation house where he met the gorgeous Dane.
Dane has been contracted by three ladies to restore this big plantation. It is a dream contract especially for him who just started his own business. He never imagined meeting someone like Clay, who is just amazingly beautiful! But he is a bit wary because he has lost before and it nearly killed him. Besides, Clay may not stick around that long, and he doesn’t want to leave this place because it is his home.
Learning that he has powers, that he has brothers and that they are fighting beings called pestilents are too much for Clay. He found it hard to accept at first, but then he rescued Baer, another brother. And then they met Grey when he, Dane and Baer went to a drag show. All these things can be hard to accept especially if you don’t believe in magic. He is also very attracted to Dane, the handsome and delicious contractor. With a lot going on, he wants to keep Dane safe, especially after what happened when they met Grey, so he doesn’t tell him everything. He is also not sure if he will be sticking around once everything is done so he doesn’t want to hurt Dane when he leaves.
This first book in the series is already promising amazing adventures and epic love stories. Ms. Jocelynn Drake and Ms. Rinda Elliott are known for their non-stop action and unforgettable characters in their book series and this is looking out to be going in the same direction, it doesn’t disappoint at all! I can’t wait for the next book, Congratulations!
