REVIEW:
This series could not have ended more perfectly. Period. And while there is a spin-off, starring Johnny’s brother, Saint, for this series in Brighton, it couldn’t have been written better. All of these guys have been through some absolute horror in their lives. Between kidnappings, threats, gunshots, stabbings, hit and runs, crazy family members, crazy exes, conversion therapy, betrayals. It all has been one horror story after another. But the one important thing with this group, is with the White Haired Crew at the helm, Brighton has become a huge family that will bend over backwards to help anyone in need. And heaven help anyone who goes against these ladies. And because of that, all these men have found their lifemates and made families of their own. Most of them thinking they’d never have what they’ve found.
They’ve all learned some harsh lessons in their lives. As it draws close to Christmas time and the time for Johnny and Gabe’s wedding, all the couples are taking time to spend the holidays with their loved ones and reflect or reaffirm their love with those they’ve given their lives to and for. Some are making huge changes in their lives, some are taking things slow as they need to reacclimate to a different life. A life not full of hate and abuse. Or of psychos trying to destroy their lives. It’s a time for hope and new beginnings. A time for love and new starts. Forgiveness and reconnections. For revealing secrets and having complete honesty. It doesn’t mean things are always easy. In fact, it’s far from the truth. These guys lead some tough lives in the work they do. They see a lot of bad things and have had to do bad things for who they work for in the government. All to keep the world and those they love safe. But at the end of the day, they all have someone to come home to and love. Someone that supports them no matter what scars they have, inside or out. They have a family that most of them never had.
It’s such a beautiful story. I’m so glad I’ve gotten to see these guys grow and become the men they are. It’s amazing what a little love and care will do to change things. Even in the big bad soldiers. I’m going to miss these guys. I will have to come back and visit them. Often. It’s been a great series to read and if you guys haven’t read this series. You are truly missing out.
