Can he build a future, when he’s forgotten his past?
Blurb
Jared has fought hard to achieve something close to ‘normal’. Needing to get away from his well-meaning but suffocating family, he follows a message he wrote on a scrap of paper to a new city, hoping to find a missing piece of his past.
When Kyrone, a cocky pole dancer at the Heaven and Hell Club, saunters into the tattoo parlour Jared works in, his life is turned upside down again. A passionate one night stand turns into something unexpected for both men. But life is never simple as they work out if they can have a future beyond what has been forgotten.
Forgotten is an MM romance with hurt/comfort, a small age gap, and two men who need to learn to be true to themselves. It is the second book in the Heaven and Hell Club series and, whilst it can be read as a standalone, works better if read after Broken.
Kyrone’s kisses were getting more urgent, his hands rougher as they slid over Jared’s body. His skin felt hot with desire, and his erection rubbed against Jared. Which should have been wonderful. It was wonderful, except Jared’s body wasn’t reacting the way he wanted it to. His headache was crawling through his skull, into his neck and shoulders, making his body tense. Even though Kyrone was rubbing against his cock and occasionally running a large, firm hand over it through his jeans, Jared didn’t have a hard-on. He whispered a curse and then leant his head forward against Kyrone’s shoulder.
“I’m sorry. I think I should go,” he muttered, angry at himself for going to Kyrone’s flat in the first place and for making himself believe he would be well enough to fool around with the gorgeous man.
Kyrone cupped Jared’s cheek in his hand, massaging the skin behind his ear as he tilted Jared’s face up. “Headache?”
Jared winced an apology.
“At least you’re not ‘washing your hair’.”
Jared forced himself to chuckle.
“Maybe a club wasn’t the best place for you to go tonight,” Kyrone said.
“Probably not. But there was this guy I wanted to hook up with.”
“Oh?”
“Yes. He gave me a pretty good screwing a week ago, and I wanted a second round.” He smiled weakly. “My head seems to have other ideas.”
“This guy you wanted to meet… was he good looking?”
“Very.”
“And a good fuck?”
Jared nodded and murmured an affirmative.
“He sounds like a pretty great guy.”
Jared’s smile became a little wider. “Yes, he is.”
“Do you think he’s understanding?”
“I hope so. I hope he doesn’t think I’m giving him the brush-off, or I’m probably not going to get screwed by him again.”
Kyrone kissed the corner of Jared’s mouth. “I don’t think you need to worry about that.”
“I don’t?”
“No.” He kissed Jared’s forehead. “My sister gets migraines, so I know how crappy they can be. Do you have your phone on you?”
Jared nodded and fumbled for his phone in his jacket pocket. He hadn’t had a chance to take it off before Kyrone had pounced on him. He unlocked it and handed it over, watching as Kyrone added himself to the address book and then sent a text to himself.
“Now you have my number, and I have yours. Which means arranging a hook-up will be easier than trying to cross paths in a nightclub once a week.” He slipped the phone back into Jared’s pocket.
“I should call a taxi.”
Kyrone stroked his temple. “Or you could stay here.”
