It was just another job—at least it was supposed to be—but snaring the feisty blue dragon I’d been contracted to collect and her rider in my trap changed everything. Hunting dragons was my job, and I was damn good at it. I’d never missed a target. Never failed to make a delivery. So why was every step toward turning over my bounty suddenly a struggle? No quarry had ever managed to get under my skin, but something in Zale’s haunting blue eyes called to me like nothing ever had before.
Zale~
When Itsaso and I were kidnapped, we fought like hell but found ourselves at the dragon hunter’s mercy. He locked my dragon away, leaving me to face captivity alone. Now, all I have to rely on is the training that’s been drilled into me every day for as long as I can remember and biding my time, waiting for Davis to make a mistake. Or my brothers to find and rescue us. But something happened the first time I truly looked in Davis’s eyes, dark pools as deep and enchanting as the sea, and I realized I was in so much more danger than I thought. How could a ruthless dragon hunter be my perfect mate?
Zale is the second book in The Brotherhood of Ormarr series. While each book focuses on a different couple, the overall story arc continues in the next installment. For maximum enjoyment, we suggest reading in order. Zale is a m/m romance, and is recommended for adults 18 years and older.
REVIEW:
I am frigging ADDICTED to this series. I remember seeing the release for Azaran and thinking I couldn’t wait to read that book, and when I found out there were more, I was definitely interested. Especially after I finally got to read Azaran and read about these brothers and their dragons. It’s an exciting series. Mystery, dragon (of course), intrigue, and corruption. Someone behind the scenes is doing some bad things. After reading this book, I have a feeling who and if it’s who I think it is, it’s going to be devastating. So yeah, I’m excited to read the next one and see where this goes.
Zale doesn’t understand why he’s feeling so restless and morose. His dragon, Seso, is noticing too. Part of it, is he wants what Azaran and Toby have, but he feels stupid for it because he’s barely 21. So when he goes with Saso to relax, watching the waves, his relaxation turns into a nightmare as he’s captured, Saso locked down and they’re kidnapped. He tries to find out information, only to be confronted with the fact that his kidnapper is also his mate. Yeah, a conundrum for sure. But Davis eventually gives in, after Zale breaks free and kicks his butt….heehee. And once the information is out there, Davis realizes he’s been fed very wrong information all along. And when the truth is spread to Zale’s brothers and Davis’s father, the head of his clan, the rest of the clans are now on alert trying to find out how far and deep this is going. But they are attacked before getting too far, and something causes Davis to panic. And his sister to flee. Once they find out what has Davis in an uproar and panicked, it’s time to find his sister and Davis finds what he’s been missing for many years. With all that’s going on against them, they are beginning to wonder if they are going to make it out of all of this alive. Because somebody definitely wants the Ormarr boys dead and gone.
I could not imagine what Zale was feeling. And I don’t know if I could have been so quick to forgive. I think I would be if I knew it was my mate that kidnapped me and when I understood the reasons why. But it put Zale in a bad situation for sure. And as for his brothers, yeah, I’d be a bit hard pressed to want to accept Davis too quick myself. Davis feels a lot of guilt for what he did to Zale, but he felt he had no choice. So it was hard on both their parts and I don’t envy what people are trying to do to them. But they started listening to each other and communicating. Everyone did. And that is what is so important in everything. It is what makes the difference in all the world. True communication. And because of it, they were able to understand a lot more than they knew. People knew to be on alert now and lives were saved. And even more, Zale got his dream of having his mate finally in his arms.
Betrayals run deep though, and until they find who is behind all this, it’s going to be a bumpy ride. I cannot wait to Eeli’s story, and he’s not a ‘big boy’. You will see what I mean if you haven’t read these yet. I adore Eeli and I bet his is going to be a favorite for me. I mean, I love all the boys, but there’s just something so innocent about Eeli that just makes you want to hold and hug him forever. I love this series.
