A tradition from days past, for when a lonely omega had no other recourse…
Since he was young, Chamomile Greenthroat has dreamed of having a family of his own. Now, growing older and still without a partner, he turns to a nearly-forgotten tradition: a charm of flowers left on his doorstep as a message to the alphas of town that he seeks a child.
The response is overwhelming, but one charm stands above the rest. An alpha who has pined in secret for years has finally broken his silence, hoping for more than just a night or two together.
But first, there’s the small matter of making a baby…
A Dream of Daisies is a non-shifter omegaverse mpreg romance, set in an idyllic fantasy world. This sweet, sexy novelette is perfect for those who are looking for high-quality escapism and sweet romance injected with hot love scenes
REVIEW:
Oh this is a sweet little dream of a story.
Chamomile and Lark are a match made by fate, to be sure.
Cham is ready to start a family. He spends so much of this time helping others and now he feels like it might be time for him to truly want something for himself. A baby and a husband to raise it with is on the very top of his very short list.
Lark is good with wood, but terrible at words. He’s pined for Cham for years, too shy to say anything but when Cham puts out his charm, Lark finds that maybe there are other ways to say how he feels.
This story is very short and amazingly sweet. The author has created a beautiful world for their characters to inhabit. The pictures they paint are very easy to imagine, although my slight obsession with fantasy helped fuel my imagination.
There’s very little angst to be found here, but for once, I’m okay with that. We get to wander through this time in Lark and Cham’s lives, getting beautiful glimpses into who they are and how they are going to bring their dreams together.
The sex is as sweet as the story, and yet just the right amount of steamy.
Reading this I felt like I was wandering through a hidden village, meeting hobbits or sprites and fairies and it was a lovely place to visit.
For a short story, it felt complete and that is a minor miracle in itself. Congrats to the author for such a wonderful little tale.
