All day long, I thought that maybe I was imagining it, that Delaney hadn’t been sneaking glances at me, that maybe it hadn’t been lust in his eyes when he watched me carrying in boxes and furniture. But now that he’s staring right at me with those gorgeous green eyes and a sexy smirk on his face, I know I didn’t imagine it at all. He wants me. Maybe as badly as I want him.

All of the reasons we shouldn’t do this run through my head; he’s at least twenty years older than me, he’s my friends’ father, I have to see him regularly, I’ll have to keep it a secret because I sure as hell can’t tell anyone. Not to mention that I’m a police officer and he’s an ex-convict— just another reason to hide this. Really though, do I need any other reason besides him being Jameson and Jovany’s dad?

But then Delaney presses his body against me and covers my mouth with his and all those reasons melt away. He’s not Jameson’s dad right now, he’s Delaney—Old Man—the guy who took me out of my head when I needed it the most, the guy who gave me one of the best nights of my life.

When his tongue brushes against mine, all thoughts fly out the window altogether because I swear it’s like sparks fly between us. I reach for his waist, but he catches my hands and pulls them above my head as he grinds his hips against me, and I’m instantly hard. As he holds my hands up with one of his, he uses his free one to trail his fingertips down my arm, down my side, then slips them under the bottom of my shirt, all the while, devouring my mouth with a passion I match.

His mouth trails across my jaw, then nibbles down my neck as he scoots back and his fingers brush along the waistband of my workout pants. A gasp falls from my lips as shivers wrack my body, and I writhe there, trying to rut against him, but his hips are too far away.

Delaney smiles and hums. “What do you want, Freckles?” When I don’t answer, he brushes his hand up under my shirt, flicking my nipple and making me groan before he says, “Tell me what you want me to do to you, Aiden.” This time it’s the use of my name that makes me shiver. It’s almost too intimate.

“Anything you want,” I say breathlessly.

He smirks and presses his body against mine again.
