PRINCE BERND
As Prince of the Bear Shifters, I knew the time would come for me to prove myself worthy of my crown. I expected my quest to be perilous. What I didn’t expect was for it to take me up into Espen Mountain, a place that’s brought me nothing but grief and terrible nightmares. Not only must I find the five magical ingredients, but I have to do so alongside Saer, a mysterious and charming shifter coyote summoned by the king to be my guide. But who is Saer, and why do I feel as if we’ve met before?
SAER
Crushing on Prince Bernd from afar was one thing. Being given the responsibility of saving the prince and his kingdom was a whole other story. Banished from my kingdom by my own prince years ago, I never imagined I would be summoned to help Bernd. What could I possibly offer a prince? How was I supposed to save him? I was no one. A shifter with no place to call home. What I did know was that I would do everything in my power to help Bernd succeed on his quest. All I had to do was stop crushing on the guy, find the magical ingredients hidden up a dangerous mountain, and save his heart. What could go wrong?
REVIEW:
This series is so super cute and so very sweet, I just love it. This is yet another wonderful installment in this author’s wonderful Paranormal Princes series. This series is about Princes overcoming their fears and finding their true loves.
Prince Bernd’s grief over the death of his father and his fear of losing even more of his loved ones has prevented him from moving on with his life. That grief has caused him to close a part of himself off from his people and kept him with his palace walls. It’s also the reason why he’s somewhat overprotective of his family.
Saer is also allowing his fears and insecurities get the best of him. Past heartbreak and rejections has him questioning his self worth.
In steps the quirky King of Shifters to send them on their quest. By now, you realize that the king is sending the prince’s on these quests to complete the various assignments is less about completing the tasks and is more about overcoming the barriers that prevents them from living their best lives, living up to their fullest potentials and finding their true mates.
The journey for Bernd and Saer is extremely touching in that both men have allowed their fears and insecurities to affect their decisions. Their fears and insecurities and unwilling to break the chains of grief and heartbreak and it’s impacting their lives as it prevents them from moving forward.
I love this story, this series. The characters are interesting and the story line is absolutely wonderful. And even though the King makes brief appearances in the beginning and end of the story, I live for his quirkinesses.
The length of these stories is perfect and end on high notes. This author’s series are like pieces of an intricate jigsaw puzzle all fitting together to form this one big beautiful piece of art at the end.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I’m so looking forward to seeing what happens next. Each book can be read as a stand-alone and it’s not necessary to read them in order.
