There’s more than one way to interpret destiny.
The Son of Satan, a demon hunter, a mummy, a witch, a harpy, and the messenger of an elder god walk into a bar… and try to prevent the apocalypse? The devil isn’t thrilled, and frankly the angels aren’t either. But from the bowels of Hell to the chilly Halls of Heaven, from Thailand to Tacoma to the bottom of the ocean, this ragtag group of supernaturals plans to fight the prophecy and save the world or die trying. With enemies among the most powerful beings ever to exist and allies they can’t trust as far as they can throw, they’d better get their act together fast.
REVIEW:
I friggin LOVED this book! Paranormals abound. Your classic apocalyptic, end of the world, good vs. evil type book. But what is good about this one?? It is funny as heck. It really is. In all seriousness, yes, these paranormals are a ragtag group trying to prevent the end of the world, but when you read these guys you will see what I mean.
The blurb above starts out as some kind of classic joke, but it’s true. They are trying to prevent the end of the world. The ironic part, is one of the ones trying to prevent it, is the actual son of Lucifer himself, nicknamed the Destroyer. But he doesn’t want to be that. He wanted to leave Hell and experience what Earth had to offer. Especially after he met a human who intrigued him to no end. And now, with his boyfriend’s ex, who is a harpy, her girlfriend, who is a full born witch, and a mummy cursed…something, they are trying to prevent this so called prophesy that no one wants. And as strong as they are individually, they make a heck of an impact as a team. But they need to find what they need to before others to do, to make sure this so called prophesy doesn’t actually come true. And they have to do it before others try to end them. As hard as that may be.
I’m telling you, this group of paras are one of the funniest groups I have ever read. They are so sarcastic and snarky. They pull no punches, quite literally at times. They are exes and friends and beings with a common goal. But what kills me is their relationships. It really does. The way they obviously love each other a blind person could see, but the way they act with each other, sometimes you’d think they hated each other. Which is far from true. These characters have such a broad range of personalities. And wait til you meet the mummy-cursed dude. Oh my gah. I laughed so hard. I love this interpretation of things. Yeah, it may be an end of the world book, but it was done with humor and fun. And there are a lot of serious times, don’t get me wrong. Lot of scary things as well, for them. But I just had a ball with it. I think you guys will love this book. It’s just amazing.
