Genre: M/M Contemporary Romance
Tragedy comes in all forms, and you never know how you’ll deal with it. Four friends have all dealt with their fair share of struggles. Dillion, an aspiring writer with writers block because of his brothers sudden death, Jesse the emotional stunted drink thanks to his boyfriend’s suicide, Ivan the abused victim just looking for a place to call home, and Leo the stubborn romantic trying to get his friends to open up, while keeping his issues close to his chest.
With these four friends, they avoid all their elephants in the room like a death card agreement between Dillion and Jesse, Ivan completely hoping his abusive lover with change or even Leo focusing on his friends problems instead of his own. Can these four friends learn to embrace and accept their own tragedy or will they be stuck in the past?
Thirst Trap is a humorous coming of age novel dealing with sexuality, tragedy, substance abuse, and the most beautiful insane friendships.
Leo
“Will, you seem like a confused boy. I don’t want to be with someone that feels like they’re stuck in a prison with me.” “I never said that,” he said. “You did by being on those apps. I get that I’m a lot sometimes, but you still need to understand that I would always be by your side.” I began to walk out of the kitchen into our bedroom. I just wanted to go to bed and figure all of this out another day. “We can’t just keep this conversation in limbo,” he stated, walking into the bedroom after me. “Have you met any of these boys?” I asked. “No.” “Do you want to?” “I don’t know.” I turned to look at him. I nodded and I knew the truth. My husband didn’t feel fully confident in this relationship anymore, and he was second guessing it. I wanted my friends to open up about their feelings, not my husband. I wished he got jerked off by a guy behind my back without me ever knowing. I got up and grabbed my pillow off the bed. I walked toward the entrance of our bedroom where he stood. “I’m sleeping in the guest bedroom. Why don’t you figure out if you want to fuck all the little bottoms in Chicago, or if you want to stay faithful to me?” He didn’t answer, and I didn’t want him to. I laid in that guest bedroom feeling lost and confused. I closed my eyes and prayed this was a nightmare. I hoped that I would wake up from this dream, and he would have me close to his chest. The tragic moment came when the sun woke me up, and I was in that guest bed with no arms around me, and the possibility of no husband to love either.
Zachary Ryan grew up in a black-and-white box in Maryland, before moving to Chicago to start a new life. There, he found that he was accepted for his misfit status—and learned that it’s perfectly normal to spend your twenties feeling lost and confused.
After a disastrous sexual encounter, Ryan stumbled on a group of true friends, or “soul cluster,” that he connected with. Through his writing, he hopes to help other broken souls out there find comfort amid the chaos.

Sounds like an intriguing story!
The cover definitely reveals that you can bounce back from tragedy. I’m hoping their stories are in depth and honest.
