I’m thrilled to be on the blog today celebrating my newest release and first in a new series, Disrupt(Iron Heretics MC #1). This book has been a long time in the making. The series itself started completely by accident when I was writing an assassin book for the Criminal Delights multi-author project last year. That book, Cold Light, was supposed to be a stand alone(famous last words!), but instead spawned the beginnings of the Iron Heretics MC world, and I couldn’t be happier that it did.
I’ve been asked several times for the recommended reading order of books that take place within the world. All of these stories can be read stand-alone, but I do believe they are better together and this is the order I recommend:
- Cold Light: Assassins (This is Lex and Arden’s story and is 100% stand alone)
- Discord: An Iron Heretics Short Story (This is the beginning of Cleave and JJ’s story. It’s also FREE to claim on Prolific Works.)
- Make Snow Mistake (Cody and Eben’s story. It’s also a stand alone.)
- Disrupt (The official beginning of the Iron Heretics MC Series)
Now, for something fun! I’ve put together a short interview from questions I’ve been asked since I started publishing—some serious and some not so much. Enjoy!
Question #1) What advice would you give someone just starting on their publishing journey?
First, write. Just write. It’s easy to get caught up thinking you have to have a huge social media presence and you need to become a marketing guru RIGHT NOW!, but first, write. Finish the book, then keep writing. The rest you can build up as you go along.
Second, find your people! Which is not always easy. Join author groups in your genre. Build real relationships. Those author peeps, especially ones who are in a similar phase of their career as you, become invaluable. Tackling the road ahead is always better with a friend.
Question #2) What are your top five favorite TV shows?
You know, I used to watch a lot more TV before I started writing lol. So, I haven’t seen as many newer shows, but here goes: Sons of Anarchy(no one is surprised), Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Veronica Mars, Spartacus, and Sex Education
Question #3) Who is your favorite character that you’ve ever written?
Someone asked me this just the other day and it’s seriously an impossible question. My go-to answer is Vidar. He’s lived in my head the longest and we’re quite comfy with each other. But if a person asked me who is my favorite couple that I’ve written, I find the answer is easy. Lex and Arden. I adore them.
Question #4) What’s your go-to writer fuel?
I’ve been firmly on the coffee bandwagon forever, but recently I’ve started switching things up sometimes with hot tea or the crystal light that has caffeine in it. So the real answer is caffeine. Always caffeine lol.
Question #5) The one I get most often: What’s next? And when?
I’m planted pretty firmly in the Iron Heretics camp right now and don’t have plans to leave anytime soon. Book 2 is already in the works(no date yet) and I have the next 3 roughly planned. I have made commitments to a couple multi-author projects this year as well and I’m looking forward to those too.
Thanks so much to LoveBytes for having me!
Blurb:
Being vulnerable makes you a target. Pax knows this all too well. He doesn’t want to need a hero, but the green-eyed biker that keeps rescuing him anyway has him sliding into dangerous territory—namely, Mace’s bed.
Mace is the Sergeant-at-Arms of the St. Louis Iron Heretics MC—treading through volatile situations is all in a days work. At the end of the day, he knows better than to let his heart rule out over his head, but Pax is an anomaly he can’t shake loose.
When a threat returns, taking aim at Pax and disrupting the balance they’ve reached, Mace has to recalibrate his sights, bringing what he truly wants into focus. Unfortunately for them, danger doesn’t always stay dead.
Disrupt is the first book in the Iron Heretics MC series. It can be read as a stand-alone and features no cliffhanger, no cheating, and a HEA.
