BLURB:
Living in a mysterious house overlooking the town, Seamus haunts the halls with his dog at his side. He’s doomed to un-life, cursed, essentially a zombie, but without all the icky rot. His only human friend is a delightful fella by the name of Tibbit. Sweet Tibbit accepts him for who he is, and oh, how Seamus loves him for that.
But can there ever be love between a lonely human and a man whose heart doesn’t beat the way it should? Love got Seamus into this mess; is it worth it to try again?
REVIEW:
This was such a cute and sweet little story. It was just the best. It reminded a little bit of a very twisted version of something like Beauty and the Beast. It’s not that story but when you read it, you will see what I mean.
Seamus got cursed, for something he didn’t do, and now he’s forced to live a life he shouldn’t have ever had to live. His only friend for years has been his newly acquired dog, that someone abandoned and the vet that came to take care of him. But he caught sweet Tibbs one night doing something that broke his heart and when he figured out the reason why, he was sad and elated at the same time. Now if they can just get on the same page, maybe things will change.
I was so mad for Seamus. So falsely accused of something by a punk of a father who wouldn’t even attempt to listen to reason. Black magic was nothing good to mess with. But what I love about this story, is that true love is blind, as they say. It’s unconditional and ever growing. Tibbs didn’t care that Seamus was cursed. He found a friend and wanted something more. And for Seamus, he hoped one day he’d find someone to break the curse, but more than that, he wanted someone to ease his loneliness. He wanted that someone who would see past his curse into the heart of who he was. And he found that in Tibbs. Neither just had a clue at how far the feelings went. And my heart ached for the both of them, thinking they had to go to the extremes in order to get to the heart of the matter.
It really is a sweet romantic story. I don’t know the exact page count but it’s not very long. Maybe 30 pages or so. And it’s a dang good story packed in a short novella. You guys should read it.
