A ruthless omega with a chip on his shoulder meets the alpha patient enough to show him love.
Nolan found solace as an agent in the Omega Assassins Club. The only place he ever felt accepted, it is his home and the other operatives in his pack are his family. He knows he’s messed up, everyone in his pack is in their own way, but Nolan’s past refuses to let him think about the future.
Without his pack knowing, Nolan moonlights in a kink house where the rich and powerful pay him large amounts to tell them they were worthless. He doesn’t have to touch them, not if he doesn’t want to, and on the plus side, he gets to see alphas for what they truly are, spineless.
But when one of his clients is dead before Nolan can walk into the room and the police rush in, he knows he’s been set up. Too bad the detective assigned to his case is the only alpha Nolan ever opened his heart to. The same man who had set Nolan’s life into the tailspin that ended with him begging to be let into the OAC.
Detective Benjamin Barlow never forgot the omega who got away. Nolan had dug a hole in his heart that still festered, but the self-possessed omega he sees now is nothing like the shy, grateful boy of his memories. Nolan’s loathing for him tells Benjamin there’s more to the omega’s story than he’s letting on.
It’s clear someone is after Nolan, and after a second attempt at his life, Benjamin puts his foot down. His omega will stay with him, in his home, maybe then they can find out what tore them apart all those years ago.But will he be able to accept the truth?

REVIEW:
Shew, I knew this was going to be some story, but I was not prepared for how heart wrenching it was going to be. I knew something was up with Nolan. His adamance at not being touched and how he hated alphas so bad. I knew there was something bad going on. Man, this one took me through the wringer. But to be honest, I think it’s my favorite one out of all of them so far.
Nolan has been through some stuff in his life and no one knows the full extent. They just know he has issues and he’s not about to share what they’re about. And one of his issues lead him to working as a Master in a pleasure house on his downtime. But apparently, him seeing someone he shouldn’t have seen, led him to be set up for a murder of the century and everyone seems to be in on it, as far as making sure he’s set up or dead. All except one cop. One Nolan has never gotten over but is too angry to deal with. Benjamin. His ex and part of the reason his past was so bad. But Nolan doesn’t have time to deal with Benji. Even though Benji he has made it clear he’s not backing away. As they dig deeper into their past, and dig into what is going on now, there are quite a few surprises and none of them seem good. And it’s a race against time on who’s going to try to kill Nolan and any one around him first.
Even through Nolan’s hard exterior, I knew there was something up. He was just too hard. It was a defense mechanism and it was obvious to a blind man. But he wasn’t telling and honestly, after reading why, I don’t blame him. Everything is thrown in his face every single day. And to be honest, I don’t know how he hasn’t snapped before now. Thankfully, yes, he found a kind of family in the OAC. He considers them more family than he cares to admit. But being around them and what’s happening, reminds him of everything that has happened. And then there’s Benji. Not having a clue whatsoever as to what happened. All he knew was what he was told. And it was all a lie. And it broke my heart for him as well. Because had interfering parents and entitled morons not messed in something they shouldn’t have, then these two could have been a lot happier years ago. But instead, they had to make up for lost time, and break down some heavy walls to get at the heart of all that happened. And it wasn’t an easy thing. I think that’s why I care about Nolan’s story so much. All of them have had their own issues, but for Nolan, it was horror. And the strength Nolan found, even in all the turmoil, is what was makes him so special.
