Logan is worried about his mate, Sebastian. For months now Sebastian hasn’t been sleeping well, is barely eating, and is becoming increasingly distant. Logan has no idea what’s wrong with him, but his last hope is to bring an omega into their home. It’s an unconventional choice, but Logan will do anything to help Sebastian.
Logan’s uncle, an alpha who lives a few hours away, has an omega who isn’t fitting in well with his large pack. Connor isn’t good in crowds and he’s lost in Allen’s pack. When Logan offers him a new life with just the two of them, he wants the change, but he’s not sure what to expect.
Life with Logan and Sebastian is quiet and Connor loves seeing the two of them together. As he grows closer to them both, Connor knows he’ll do anything to help the two of them mend their relationship. And, slowly, that relationship begins to include him as well.
REVIEW:
I’m kind of having a hard time with this one. You guys know I love the whole alpha, beta, omega universe, and this was definitely a different perspective on that whole world. But I while I liked some of the changes in this world, some of them I didn’t care for. Like the different levels of beta. One beta being higher rank. It causes dissention I think. And then, of course, omegas always having to prove themselves. I think the hardest thing for me was that I loved that Connor was like a marriage counselor. But while he stuck to the rule of things, such as having no sex with the couples unless it’s all consented, the couples got stuck to him anyway. And with Logan and Sebastian, they were already having troubles when Connor came in to help. I’m glad he helped and quickly, but for me it should have stayed there. And maybe I’m wrong in this. I’m not knocking triads by any means. Especially considering half of what I read lol. But for some reason, this time it seemed all wrong to me. They did go about things better at least. They went slow and felt each other out. They made sure they didn’t just make it about sex or jump into anything. So I was glad about that too. I wish I could explain it better and I hope I don’t offend anyone. It’s not the triad itself that bothers me. It just felt off the way it happened. Maybe because I feel like Logan and Sebastian weren’t on solid ground yet. And they didn’t need something else to add to their relationship yet? If that makes sense. Because to me it feels like that would add more to the problems instead of making it better. In this case, it worked. See what you guys think. How you feel about it. |
