BLURB:
Apex Racing is expanding and absorbing Pilot and his lovers. Everyone is happy with it…except for Johnny. He’s constantly feeling left out and more alone than ever before. It’s time to seek out his own win, and find his holeshot even if it’s off the track and away from Pilot.
Gavin is determined to put together the hottest Supercross team, and he wants that to include Bryce Nickels. But that seems almost impossible since Bryce signed with Apex. Perhaps he needs a new angle, like the sexy business partner of the bodyguard, Johnny Killebrew. Maybe he’ll sign on more than he bargained for.
REVIEW:
Unrequited love, self-doubt, low self-esteem – we have gone through these feelings ourselves at one time or another.
Johnny has been in love with Pilot for a long time. They’ve known each other since they were kids, they are like brothers. But that didn’t stop Johnny falling in love with Pilot. But now Pilot has fallen in love with not one, but two Supercross hot riders, Tate and Bryce. Johnny feels left out and alone. It gets worse and worse each day.
Gavin wants to form a group of awesome riders, but so far the riders he wants have all signed up with the Apex. He meets Johnny during a press conference and party organized by Apex to launch their new team. Both on their own during the party, they decide to go have a party of their own.
Acting on their attraction to each other, Johnny and Gavin are spending more time together. Unbeknownst to Johnny, when they started to have a little kinky sex, he finds he likes it. But he still has some unresolved feelings to sort through regarding Pilot. Feeling alone and neglected makes Johnny feel more anxious every time he is alone. And now he has doubts about the venture that he and Pilot formed with regards to the security firm.
Would these two people be able to accept who they are individually and forge a relationship that could thrive? Would their feelings be strong and stable enough to last? Johnny and Gavin are both looking for that special someone to be in their lives. Are they “it” for each other?
It is nice to see Johnny finally believing in himself and getting out there. Gavin has a high-pressured job that makes him sought after by exceptional riders and having Johnny in his life has made this tedious job worthwhile.
