Trapped in the mountains by a massive snow storm is bad enough. It can’t possibly get any worse, can it? But oh, yes. Yes it can.
I’m comfortable with my calm, organized, and simple life. I enjoy my job as a date-for-hire with Valentine’s Inc. until the newest edition to the company throws my life into utter chaos.
Spencer is a hurricane I never wanted to experience. And now I’m trapped alone with him in our bosses’ mountain cabin by a surprise snow storm with only a small generator and our own bodies to keep us warm.
I’m not sure if I can survive both the raging blizzard outside and the burning storm growing in my heart the longer I’m forced to spend time with the real Spencer.
Snow One Like You is part of the multi-author Snowed In – Valentine’s Inc. series, but can be read as a complete standalone.
REVIEW:
Unlike the others so far, this one is actually about Valentine’s Inc guys. The other books have friends with the company or it’s mentioned in passing, but we actually get the guys this time. And if you remember Erick and Lawrence from the Valentine’s Inc series, they are back in this one, with employees that seem to hate each other. But underneath, there’s a spark that may end up getting lit.
Spencer and Angelo have a love/hate thing going on at the office. It seems more like a hate thing from Angelo’s end. For some reason, Spencer just pushes every one of Angelo’s buttons and he’ll be the first to deny it’s in any other way but annoyance. But part of why Spencer gets under Angelo’s skin, is Angelo is attracted to him and doesn’t want to be sidled with a brat. But the bosses asked him to keep an eye on him at their cabin in the woods and both start to see a side to the other that was clearly unexpected and throws each other off. And it’s seeming to be a wonder on how long it will actually take for them to act on what they really feel or if they will continue to snark and tick each other off.
This book CRACKED me up! Spencer is the perfect brat. I just absolutely loved how he was pushing Angelo’s buttons. It’s funny too, because normally, in real life, most times it would get on my nerves, like Angelo. But something about Spencer just made it so funny. I guess because underneath I could see he wasn’t trying to be cruel, like Angelo was. He was just flustered at the man and that’s how it came out. He’s actually a very sweet and kind of shy guy. Not totally shy and that may not be the right word. But Spencer has this vulnerability about him that just makes him….seem almost naive like. Although he’s far from it. If that makes sense. But what I love about Spencer too, is that he wasn’t trying to be hurtful or upsetting, but he was starting to make Angelo see a side of himself that maybe he hadn’t taken a good look at. And Angelo was starting to realize a lot of things about himself and Spencer.
This book is loads of fun. It really is. Between the bosses being up to no good and Spencer and Angelo’s sniping at each other, it made for some fun times. I really enjoyed this book so much.
