As an Omega and a single father, Tenzin Patel knew his chances of finding love were slim to none. It didn’t help that the last Alpha he was married to took off and left him without a word. In their world, that meant a life of being alone. Not that it mattered, Tenzin wasn’t sure he’d ever be able to trust another Alpha not to screw him over.
There wasn’t much Dr. Emmett Gates hadn’t accomplished. As one of the country’s leading pediatric orthopedic surgeons, he was the epitome of success. If only he could find that one Omega in order to have the family he desperately wanted. That was proving harder to do than he imagined, especially when he compared all Omegas to the one he couldn’t have, Tenzin Patel, who not only was married but had kids. No way would he ever try to break apart a family, which left him alone.
When tragedy strikes and the two are thrown together, Emmett was thrilled to find out Tenzin was divorced. The only problem was the obstacles Tenzin had put in place to block him. Good thing Emmett was good at Hurdling Fences to get what he wanted.
REVIEW:
This series is just another amazing one by Shea and I’m loving it so much. I love that omegas are taking back the power and proving their worth. And in a few shots and digs now and then to show they are taking any crap either. This is another story, proving that omegas aren’t as weak as they are made out to be and I love it!
Tenzin thought he was holding it together, especially with all he’s had to deal with in his life, until he got the phone call that his daughter was being rushed to the hospital. Being an omega, they were already nasty with him about the situation to begin with, but it got worse when a situation at the hospital that had started in book 1, is now making Tanzin the target. And because of it, his secret has to come out. And things are getting a lot tougher, thanks to some snot nosed betas and alphas thinking omegas were beneath the earth. But Tanzin is doing all he can to fight back. And he doesn’t even realize how he’s changing the opinions of some of the alphas around him. One in particular. Dr. Emmett Gates. The alpha who has wanted Tanzin for a long time. But after being put in his place by several alphas and omegas, he’s learning what it truly means to be an equal partner in everything and wants to be that for Tanzin. If they can just get past all the trouble that keeps cropping up at every turn.
Oh another omega to love. And, of course, Shale is back putting in his two cents. You know, as a side note, wouldn’t it be funny and awesome if Shale and Jesse were to become friends. Lol!! Anyway. You know I already love Shale. He has been kicking butt and taking names since the intro book and he hasn’t stopped yet. And now, he has another omega that works there that takes no crap as well. Tanzin is not only putting up with alpha crap, but he doesn’t look like a weak omega either and I find it quite funny when people give him a bit of wide berth if he’s not a happy camper. Which isn’t often, but still. It’s quite funny when he puts bigots in their places. But this book broke my heart for him. He’s been fighting so hard for so long. Trying to find his place in the world and love in it. Trying to keep his little family together. But morons have just got to stick their noses in where it doesn’t belong. And it tears me up to see him so broken up about it all. Trying so hard to keep it going. Just goes to prove how strong he really is. But what I love, is the hospital is slowly becoming a family and learning to have each other’s backs. And Tanzin is learning, finally, that he doesn’t have to be alone, battling the world anymore. It might have taken Emmett a few kicks to the bottom, but he’s more than proving he’s the perfect partner for Tanzin.
I’m so ready to see where this is going next. The suspense of the incidents involving omegas are getting scary and I want to say I have a feeling about who will be behind it. But I may be wrong. Either way, this series has had me intrigued from the first page and I can’t wait to see what’s next.
