Possible Spoilers
Wooo. This series is getting better and better. This was so good. Yet, heartbreaking at the same time. Our beloved Conny has gotten himself rejected again by Oz, or Daddy as he calls him, and he can’t take anymore.
He leaves with two bodyguards to go clubbing to feel good and ends up kidnapped by the last person he thought he’d ever see again. His old abductor. And the man is not happy. He’s out to get Conny this time. But what no one knows, is there’s someone on the inside helping as well. But Oz is the one feeling just as tortured. He’s lost the one man he really loves and he doesn’t know how to make it right. Operation Gingersnap is in place and it’s time to go get Conny back. But will it be whole or will Conny be broken like Oz is? And can Conny finally accept why Oz has been holding back all this time?
My poor Conny. I wanted to shake Oz so bad in this one. Once you find out what happened to Oz, you totally understand why he’s hesitant, but it kills me, because he’s not taking the time to really see how much Conny already cares about him. And instead of trusting Conny, he rejects him yet again, and hurts him even worse. The communication between these two is nonexistent in the way it needs to be. Sure they cut up and goof around, but when it comes to the nitty gritty, Oz just shuts down on him. And it’s not fair. But then again, I see both sides and understand where they are both coming from. Even if I do want to shake them both. When Conny got mixed up with his ex-abductor again, it broke my heart. For a young man who seems so fearless, this man made Conny cower. And do other things Conny wouldn’t normally do. I wanted to kill the man myself. Conny is just a sweetheart. He’s a little brat at times, but that’s just part of his charm and we all love him for it. I wanted to keep Conny that happy, goofy guy. The one who jumps in with both feet and seems so fearless. But even as he got rescued, in order to be that guy, he had to get over Oz or Oz finally had to let go and tell the truth.
It’s hard when we have secrets that make us extremely vulnerable. The fear of rejection is so strong, it can be paralyzing. So I get what Oz was going through. It’s hard to break that pattern. But when someone shows us they love us unconditionally, we have to learn to trust what we are seeing and hearing. As hard as it may be. Because that’s what makes a relationship stronger. Being able to be completely vulnerable with someone and be ourselves. It’s hard lesson to learn. But if it’s true, it’s one well worth the effort.
