Azaran~
I was born a dragon rider. A member of the Brotherhood of Ormarr, son of Cadmar, and the eldest of four sons. I was raised to defend the innocent and protect the secret of the dragons, but when I was eighteen, my parents were brutally murdered and the training and care of my brothers fell to me. My entire adult life has been spent helping my brothers grow into the strong, brave dragon riders they were born to be. Now that the youngest of my brothers is close to adulthood, the last thing I need is someone else to worry about—someone else to be responsible for. If only the handsome doctor fate had chosen for my mate wasn’t so perfect for me.
Toby~
AlI I ever wanted was to help people, that’s why I became a doctor, but I quickly learned that modern medicine was more about the all-mighty dollar and less about saving lives. It wasn’t long before I was doubting my life choices. A vacation to the ocean was supposed to leave me refreshed and ready to get back to work, but instead, I found myself pulled into a world I never knew existed. A world where dragons are real, men fight like medieval warriors, and my soulmate has his very own bat cave. Azaran thinks the last thing he needs is a mate to worry about. Good thing I don’t need anyone to take care of me. My sexy dragon rider, on the other hand, needs someone to take care of him, and I think I’m just the man to do it.
Azaran is the first book in The Brotherhood of Ormarr series. While each book focuses on a different couple, the overall story arc continues in the next installment. For maximum enjoyment, we suggest reading in order. Azaran is a m/m romance, and is recommended for adults 18 years and older.
REVIEW:
Well, I definitely need to finish this series. Holy crap am I hooked! I love the dragons. Especially in their littler forms. I can just picture them and it’s so stinkin cute. But seriously, I love the way this story is. Dragons and riders to protect people from harm. But of course, you have greedy morons who want power and everything for themselves, so they are fighting bad guys as well, trying to figure out who’s behind it all.
The only problem in this for Azaran, is he didn’t figure a mate in the middle of all this. When their normal doctor was out of town, vacationing Toby overheard about a patient and volunteered to help. But he wasn’t prepared for the huge dragon that popped up out of nowhere. Scared at first, he went along, although there wasn’t much choice. But he said he’d help and he meant it. As a doctor, he vowed to save lives and he wouldn’t back down. But he wasn’t prepared for the little dragon that was loving on him or the avoidance of Azaran. He seemed to get along great with everyone else, but Azaran was avoiding him like the plague. But when it was time for him to run away, he physically hurt and it was time for Azaran to be truthful about everything. Toby seemed to take it all in stride, but someone out there was determined to come at them. And from the information being gathered, them directly and no one else. Now they have to figure out who’s trying to kill them.
All these little baby dragons are killing me!! So CUTE! I mean yeah, they expand to become these fierce warriors who kick butt, but them being little just about knocked me over. The best. But I love the guys too. Since losing their parents, the bonds they have have just become stronger and stronger. I feel bad for Azaran for having to shoulder so many burdens at a young age and I don’t blame him for sometimes feeling resentful to a point. Not that he doesn’t love his family. Quite the opposite really. But he’s never had a moment just to let go and relax and just be. At least, until Toby came along. Toby is so good for him, if for no other reason, then for that one. Toby helps him relax and realize there’s more to life than just responsibilities. He lets him breathe and remember what fun is. And I love it.
This is one heck of a start to this series. I’ve got to get the rest of these books and find out what happens. I’m a little attached to Eeli as well, so I want him to have a happy story and get what he desires.
