It’s that time of year again people. The time where we, the voracious and obsessive readers of LGBTQ romance, look back and reflect on what an amazing year of books it’s been. If you’re anything like us then you’re already compiling your 2020 “To Read” list, but first, let’s share some of our favourite books from the year just gone.
Over the next few weeks we’ll be posting our top reads of the year. Please feel free to tell us your own favourites, or simply comment on our choices.

I was trying to think about what to say about each individual book or the series they’re a part of, but when I realized the books I picked, and believe me it was hard just picking 10, I realized they all had a theme to them. They all have had to overcome some pretty horrific odds in order to survive or move past things in their lives. They’re survivors, they’re strong, even when they feel weak, and they have learned what it takes to depend on someone else and themselves. Which is hard for these people. It’s been an amazing journey of books this year. All I ask from anyone is take a chance. I see so many books that don’t get much promotion or accolades because they aren’t necessarily popular authors. Take a chance on some others. You may not agree with my opinion and you may, but give others a chance and branch out. Give others support. They deserve it for the works they are putting out. These books I’m picking are from just this year, but these books deserve having the whole series read. And most of them you actually need to read the series in order anyway. But all of these have left some mark on my heart. And believe me, there are many more.
