REVIEW:
A Supercross Rider and a Mechanic! Both of them not out in the world of motorcycle racing! And they are on opposing teams! Dilemma, dilemma…. but the attraction and chemistry is raging hot! What can they do?
There are still some sports where being gay is frowned upon, maybe because no one has come out yet. There is a stigma of being gay in a sport with an overflow of testosterone and jocks. But meeting the right person and realizing that you are afraid of losing that person can motivate one to come out. You can’t please everyone, right? There will always be people who will not be happy for them. But there are times when we have to prioritize our happiness and especially if this involves someone we love!
Davey and Tyler each have their reasons for not coming out in the world of motorcycle racing. No one has ever come out yet. Although Tyler is out where he comes from but this is a totally new world for him, and he is not quite sure how people will receive it. Davey has never been out, but meeting the right person is making him think that maybe it does not matter anymore. Maybe now he can be truly himself.
This novel deals with the competitive sport of motorcycle racing, discrimination, homophobia, family, love and acceptance. The romance might be a whirlwind but sometimes when we meet the right person, everything just falls into place. I love how Davey and Tyler fell for each other, against all the odds. The attraction was instantaneous when they first met. Although they have this certain maturity within them despite the young age that makes them look at things differently.
A good storyline, lovable characters and a happy ending. A good start to a new series. Congratulations!
