As soon as Hawk and Talon touch, it’s instant…
Sons of Destruction is not your typical Motorcycle club. They’re not lawless; They are the law. SOD’s mission is to abolish drugs, prostitution, human trafficking, and to stop the criminals who run these enterprises permanently.
Shane “Hawk” Williams is the Vice President of the Sons of Destruction Motorcycle club and second-in-command to the alpha and president of the club, Axle Davis. All of their ancestors were blessed many moons ago by a Magic Man and were gifted with the power to shift from man to wolf and back again. They had a promise of protecting all those souls who are in need. For the commitment for accepting the gift from the Magic Man, they will receive a Magic blessing of their one true love for eternity.
Talon is a young man in need. After graduating from college with his culinary degree, he has his whole life ahead of him, until he lets his guard and gets abducted by a long-time rival gang. Forced to do menial jobs while being held captive by the Hell’s Guard Motorcycle Club, Talon has to hold on a little longer. Deep in his soul, he knows help is coming. He doesn’t know from who, but he can feel it all around him. He just needs to hold on a little longer. Talon knows he’ll have people coming to help him. One night in his dreams, a man tells him help has arrived, and the new MC will come and rescue Talon from his own personal hell before he’s sold into the unknown.
“I just need to hold on for a little longer. I know I have people coming to help me…”
Hawk sees the blond-beauty again at the LGBTQ Helpline fair and realizes Talon is the same man they’re looking for in their investigations and the man in his dreams. The Hell’s Guard has him, and he’s in trouble. With help from the FBI and a concerned friend, the Sons of Destruction will finally be able to stop the Hell’s Guard and rescue Talon. Will the Hell’s Guard escape one more time or will they be stopped this time? Who is behind the deaths surrounding Talon? Will the questions be answered, and the bad guy stopped? Will Talon find the peace he’s been so desperate for in his life?

REVIEW:
This book was much better. I enjoyed book 1, don’t get me wrong, but it felt more like an intro. There’s action and stuff in it too, but in this book, you start getting down to the nitty gritty of who’s behind what and how everything is intertwining. The writing was good, I loved the plot of the story. My only issue would be there were some grammatical things. Nothing huge, but noticeable. Other than that, I’m really liking this series.
Be warned in this story, it’s not just talks of suicide or sexual violence. It’s also human trafficking, kidnapping, murder, physical and mental abuse and such. Be careful if any is a trigger.
Hawk thought he found his mate a few weeks ago, but with all the smells from the bad motorcycle club, he couldn’t really distinguish it. But when he caught a pic of Talon, he knew for sure. And after he saw the condition Talon was in, he knew he had to rescue him and quick. But there’s a lot more to Talon’s story. There are secrets and lies, reasons for Talon having to go into hiding, abuse, and betrayals out the wazoo. And when Talon finds out who is behind his kidnapping, he’s hurt but not surprised. Especially when he finally gets the whole story from a surprise person. But everyone is determined, especially Hawk, to finally put an end to all this here and now. The people who are connected to each other is surprising, yet not and it’s all pure evil. And there’s a lot more at stake than just Talon. A lot more. But with the murders stacking up, who will survive this time?
The surprises just kept coming in this one. And I’m glad for a few of those. Because they deserved a second chance, once the truth came out. But for Talon, he life has been hell. Growing up basically alone, it’s like he didn’t have a twin or parents. Or any other family. They all ignored him and treated him like a pariah. Being gay didn’t help. But when he got kicked out by his father, he got the surprise of his life. And for once, it was a good one. But short lived. Every time Talon turned around, it was like one more nail in the coffin. One more stab to the heart and my heart broke for him. He just wanted a family. Someone that loved him and would be with him with no strings or anything. But it seemed like it wasn’t meant for him. Until he saw Hawk. And I was so happy when Hawk got him. Finally freed him and showed him what love was. It may not be a blood family, but he finally got a family that did want. And the fact he was a chef, helped quite a bit lol. Those boys. Lol. But unfortunately, power and greed make people do stupid things and Talon had to go through a lot to get to where he is today. Even with Hawk as his mate and his new family, it was still hell at everything that was unraveling. And every time he cried because it was too much, my heart broke all over again for him. It wasn’t fair.
This has some moments in where you are going to need tissues. It is angsty. But it’s also a story of love and second chance. Hope and survival. And finally finding the meaning of a true family.
