AUTHOR: Taylor Rylan
PUBLISHER: Self-Published
RELEASE DATE: December 4, 2019
LENGTH: 127 pages
BLURB:
Logan and Rhett Redfeather didn’t quite realize what life would be like when their twins were born. Hectic is an understatement. With the twins’ first birthday looming, as well as their third anniversary, the last thing they’re thinking about is the Christmas holiday.
When Logan spots the perfect snow globe in a shop window, he knows it’s the absolute perfect gift for his frazzled husband. But when he goes to make his purchase, it appears someone else has beat him to it. Will he be able to find another gift that is just as perfect for his husband?
Rhett’s Gift has a familiar couple, but this story can be read as a complete standalone. You’ll encounter the usual shenanigans that you expect from these two, and steamy sexy times are a guarantee.
Although this book is part of A Snow Globe Christmas series, it is a complete standalone, and it isn’t a requirement that you read the previous books to follow along. We wish everyone a happy holiday season.
REVIEW:
Parenthood is a daunting thought. Being responsible for other people other than yourself is a huge responsibility. Negative thoughts will run amok in our minds – thoughts of failure, being overwhelmed, and not being able to make the right decisions especially when it pertains to your family and children. But nothing worth it is ever easy, right? All we can do is put our hearts and mind into it. Do the best we can under any circumstances!
For a newly-married couple or for those who have been together less than five years, marriage and kids can be the ultimate test. You are adjusting to a new normal. And you are juggling it all at the same time. Sometimes you have to be Hercules or Superman to be able to do it all. But it can be done, definitely! Many have succeeded and ultimately became great at it! It just needs practice, and failure is included in that.
Rhett and Logan had been married for three years and they now have twin babies who are almost 1 year old. Rhett is a bit overwhelmed as he takes care of the children and the house all day, every day. Logan takes care of the business, although he helps Rhett out when he comes home. This December they have significant events to celebrate – their wedding anniversary, Rhett’s birthday, the twins’ first birthday and of course, Christmas. It can be overwhelming especially if you are already juggling everything on a daily basis. Aside from the fact that Rhett is still healing. It can be a lot.
The husbands are taking care of their children and each other. They also have their families who help out whenever they can and when they ask for it. Working together to accomplish all these things do make them stronger and more stable in their relationship. But when one is a bit overwhelmed by it all, the other sees to it that his husband gets taken care of. He makes sure that his other half gets the rest he needs and the love and care he deserves, too.
Ms. Taylor Rylan is able to relate how the main characters are coping with all these welcomed changes in their lives. She was able to tell us the work that every couple puts in in order to always be in-sync, in order for the relationship to grow. She tells us how reality in a marriage affects the dynamics between a couple and that if there is so much love and support, how blissful it can be despite the hectic schedule involve. A sweet look into the “happily-ever-after” of Logan and Rhett.
