This time of year, there are all kinds of delightful holiday stories out. Some indie, some publisher – Love Bites is reviewing a different set of Advent calendar stories elsewhere. But I wanted to post about a freebie event – the Rainbow Advent Calendar with freebie short stories from over 30 writers. These are little tastes of holiday romance, from 1,000 to 22,000 words, downloadable or on author websites every day through the 24th.

From the 1st – 24th of December authors of GLBT+ fiction will be opening a door to a selection of festive stories to while away the winter days and get you in the holiday spirit. My own story for this event posted Saturday. (My muse refused to go traditional, so it starts out a lot less than festive… but ends sweet. ) We’ve already twenty great stories including several from favorite authors of mine. Some are familiar or secondary characters you might recognize, getting a moment of holiday joy. Some are new guys making a first short appearance. One seen through the eyes of a cat…
