Heath looked like he wanted to protest, like the denial was on the tip of his tongue, but he held it back. Beau put the slightest amount of pressure on Heath’s neck, and when he didn’t flinch away, Beau gave him a quick squeeze before taking his hand back.
“What do I call you?” Heath asked, his voice scratchy and rough.
Beau had about a dozen ideas of things that Heath could call him, but if he were being honest, formal honorifics hadn’t ever done anything for him. They were words. Some people saw them as a show of respect, but he’d always found more respect in action than titles.
“What do you want to call me?”
“I…I don’t know yet.”
“You’re so honest,” Beau mused. He took Heath’s face in his hands and tugged him up. Heath raised up onto his knees and blinked up at Beau with such an earnest expression, Beau’s heart constricted.
“I’ve never kissed you,” he whispered.
“No.”
“I’m going to.”
“Please.”
Beau slanted their mouths together, his lips barely dragging over Heath’s mouth. Heath whimpered and his lips parted, but Beau kept it chaste. Their lips melded, they exchanged breath, and when Heath’s whines turned needy and desperate, Beau angled his head to the side and sealed their mouths together. He licked into Heath’s mouth, relishing the wet heat of his tongue, and he kissed him until he couldn’t breathe.
Beau ended the kiss but didn’t move, leaving their noses side by side and their lips nearly pressed together.
“Sir,” Heath breathed out, a rush of promise against Beau’s mouth.
“Hmmn.” He hummed. “You call me whatever you want, but make sure you find a way to physically show me the respect you think that title deserves, understand?”
“Yes, Sir.”
