Will two men, as different as can be, find love?
Jaesun Park isn’t a spy, not until the Protectors of the Pure, an organization bent on eradicating shifters from the world, blackmail and coerce him into using his job at The National Press to uncover and publish anti-shifter propaganda. He unwillingly travels north undercover, posing as one of the many campers taking advantage of the new shifter-run campground. The moment he arrives, he’s sure everyone is onto him, but he’s got to do his best to ignore his anxieties. His family needs him.
Wilder is a hybrid shifter content to watch those around him act like fools while they find their mates. If he ever (big if) found his mate, he wouldn’t overreact nearly as much as the other alphas with all their growling and possessiveness. That’s what he thinks until he literally runs into the man meant for him. It takes seconds for Wilder to realize that Jaesun is his and just as much time to realize Jaesun is hiding something that is putting him in danger. And anything that puts his mate in danger is unacceptable.
Except, those he would normally turn to won’t understand what Jaesun has had to do. They’ll lock him up before Wilder has a chance to tell them Jaesun is his mate. He can see that Jaesun is in way over his head, and Wilder is the only one who can dive in and save him. His kind, gentle mate quickly brings out the alpha in Wilder. No one, not his pack or the Protectors will lock up his mate. Before long, Wilder will realize why those other alphas acted so possessive and out of control.
Under His Cover is the fourth book in the Hybrid Heat series. It can be read as a standalone or as part of the series for maximum enjoyment. It features a delightful number of references toKorean dramas and kimchi while still containing those steamy moments that will make your toes curl!
Mpreg Romance.
REVIEW:
I have said it before and I will say it again. With all the technology in our world, they need to make books interactive. So if you want to smack someone you can lol. Shew. I’m ready for these Protector assholes to go away for good. It’s bad enough to go after the shifters as adults, but taking out packs and families, but worse, the children. Yeah, I want to reach in and throat punch someone. I love these series. I love how they all intertwine with each other.
Jaesun didn’t want to out these shifters. He didn’t want to report a damn thing. Especially once he met Wilder later on and felt the chemistry between them. But he had no choice. They were holding his family hostage. He had to report and publish what he was learning or they would kill his family. When Wilder met Jaesun, he knew something was up. He could see the panic attacks. Taste the lies Jaesun told. He knew something was off but before he could get it all out, his mate was attacked. But once they finally ALL heard the whole story, it was time to take action. No more mister nice guy and staying hidden and cool. It was time to bring the pain. Especially when other mates and children were kidnapped and people were being shot. Wrong thing to do with a bunch of shifters. They are doing their best everywhere to try to put a stop to this mess, but the Protectors have a long reach. All Wilder wants is his mate safe at home with their baby. But it will be a while before they are all safe.
Jaesun is the one that got me in this book. I’m telling you, I love these little omega types. They just tickle my heart. They have a strength and power like no one would believe. Even when frightened and in the middle of attacks. But this story got me more, because it was more than just Jaesun that got to me. Link needs something so bad. Losing everything the way he did in the last story and then all this happening has just left him a shell of what he was. And then there’s Wilder’s best friend, Orion. Now that Wilder is mated, Orion is ready to run. He doesn’t see or care to see how bad he’s hurting Wilder. This book will leave you torn in a lot of ways. Not just from the packs but from Jaesun’s own family. It was hard going there as well. It seemed like the world was against everything anyone tried to do. The simple sad part, all Jaesun wanted was to be loved and have his family safe and sound. He wanted someone to accept him and his quirks. And when he finally found it, everything was conspiring to break them apart, it seemed like.
These books just tear me up. All of these series just intertwine and I see old and new faces and I love every bit of it. Even the rough parts. I love these characters and seeing how far they’ve come. Especially Chuey. But everyone of these guys has a special place in my heart. They all act like goobers half the time, but they’ve got hearts as big as the sea and just want to be with their families. I can’t wait to see what and who is next. For there are two certain men who need to finally have some peace.
