Cole:
Dane was everything I wanted to be in high school. Popular, confident, insanely hot. He was also my best friend and secret crush until I managed to screw that up.
When I see him again after nearly a decade apart, I’m floored. If anything, he’s even sexier. But more importantly, he’s not holding any grudges. In fact, he seems…interested in me. And when my soon-to-be sister-in-law drops a little secret about him, I’m done for.
I want him. It doesn’t have to be forever. I just need one night, one down and dirty interlude on my primarily vanilla existence, and I’ll be set for life.
Dane:
The second I spot Cole at his brother’s wedding, I might as well be back in high school all over again.
All those old feelings come rushing back: the pining—my god, the pining I did for this man—and all the regret I’ve carried for being too afraid to tell him back then.
But now that Cole’s out of the closet and looking for something a little…different, I can’t resist. Because that happens to be my forte, and I’m more than happy to give him exactly what he needs.
One wild night should be enough to leave us both satisfied, right?
REVIEW:
This book was so funny, but a little sad too. Very close friends growing apart because of a secret being told. Yet when time is taken to think about it all, the same is said of both of them. But years later, at a wedding, they have come back together, and this time things have changed.
Cole let things dwindle between him and Dane after Dane told him a secret. He didn’t mean to, but it had him questioning things he had been thinking about himself and it made him feel a bit awkward. He’s regretted it ever since and has often thought of Dane over the years. But he didn’t expect the feelings he had when he heard Dane’s voice behind him at his brother’s wedding. But what Cole didn’t realize his how Dane has felt about him all these years. And after a night of fiery sex after the wedding, they really can’t stop thinking about each other. But things are changing in Cole’s life and it may cause the budding friendship and relationship they were starting to end before it even gets started.
This book had me cracking up so bad there were tears coming out of my eyes laughing so hard. The dynamics of the relationship between Cole, his brother and sister in law, were outstanding and so damn funny! Then Cole’s relatives. Oh my word. His aunt trying to fix him up with everything under the sun and Cole never quite knowing if she’s looking really for him or her. I was rolling. The characters in this book are just amazing. All them have some kind of dynamic to them. Whether it be funny or passionate or whatever, it’s a great cast. I would love to see something more from these guys in a different story or something. It was so good to read.
And I really love how Cole and Dane quickly picked up where they left off, but finally reaching that next level that they’ve both been wanting for so so long. And where Cole was nervous to branch out into new things after comments from some of his exes, he was quickly in hands that took good care of him in ways he never knew possible. And that was what made it better. Dane cared and took care of him right. BDSM isn’t something to just play at. You have to take great care. And Dane did it right. I just loved it.
This, I think is my favorite book out of this series so far. I haven’t read them all yet, but for me these are some big shoes to fill. I just adore this book so much and am glad I got to read it.
