The Christmas Window by Sean Kerr
Blurb:
You better watch out, you better not cry…
Be careful what you wish for this Christmas.
Michael is preparing a Christmas window for his shop. But he needs something spectacular. Something that will quite literally take people’s breath away.
When a rather attractive client visits his shop to confirm an order, Michael knows he has found just the right thing to finish his Christmas window. However, both the customer and Michael get more than they bargained for when things get a little hot under the mistletoe.
Santa Claus is coming to town…and he’s not the only one!
The Christmas Window is a shocking short story from the author who brought you Dead Camp, The Man Inside Me and Alive. But be warned, this is a Christmas story with bite, and you may need wet wipes!

His face radiated inner confidence that oozed sensuality, matched only by the handsomeness of his square-cut jaw. His eyes looked black because they were such an intense brown, a deep chestnut that echoed the colour of his very short cropped hair. His thick legs filled a pair of faded blue jeans that accentuated the bulge nestling between his legs, and I felt a wave of excitement flush through my skin at the sight of his huge tan coloured Timberlands.
He had big feet. Thank heavens for small mercies!
As he gripped my hand in his, I noted that his eyes glanced towards my swelling bulge, and I knew in that one moment that I had him.
“Nice to see you, Michael.”
The back of my neck tingled slightly at the sound of his deep, resonant voice, and the gravelly rumble that growled from his bulging veined throat.
The radio played Have yourself a merry little Christmas. And for once, I thought I would!
His eyes hovered over my cock, and they widened slightly at the sight of my growing excitement.
Yes, Mr. Stokes. I have a Christmas present for you. Would you like to get on your knees and unwrap it?
“Nice suit.”
“Thank you, Mr. Stokes. So kind of you to notice.”
“It’s Ian. Call me, Ian, please.”
“Thank you, Ian…please, let me show you what I have for you.”
“I can’t wait to see it.”
That made me pause. Something in the way he said it, in the way he looked at me with a glint in his mischievous eyes, made my heart stutter. He was playing with me.
Thank fuck for that. There was a God, after all.
As he joined me at my desk, his body pressed slightly against my own to fill my nostrils with his delicious scent. It was the divine aroma of man mixed with Givenchy Pi. It made my toes curl inside my brogues, so I inhaled him deeply.
We stood in silence for a moment as his dark eyes glanced across the mood board before him, a tapestry of luxurious fabrics mixed with a colour palette from Kelly Hoppen’s wet dreams. Taupe, grey, a liberal smattering of crystal and just the slightest hint of Duck egg to offset the natural tones so carefully orchestrated to create a space of innate luxury. The man was a lawyer, after all, so he could fucking well afford it.
“Will the curtains be on a remote system as we discussed?”
“Yes, of course. You will be able to lie in bed and operate the curtains and the blinds from the comfort of your faux fur comforter. From your iPad, of course.”
“I love the headboard. Will you make that yourself?”
“Why yes, of course. Upholstery is my specialty. The fabric is made out of glass beads, a new technology that results in a texture that subtly shimmers as you view it from any given angle. Yet, it retains the properties of a more conventional fabric while demonstrating an amazing resilience to abrasion.”
He looked at me then, a sly smile lifting the corner of his perfectly plump lips.
“Should I expect my headboard to receive much abrasion?”
“Well, one can never plan for such eventualities, Ian, but I thought it prudent to include it in the specification.”
“You are very thorough.”
“I like to make sure all angles are covered.”
“At a price.”
My name is Sean Kerr, and I am a 49-year-old gay man living in Cardiff, Wales with my husband of 28 years, Derek. We have our mad cat, Rita and, and a host of tropical fish.
I worked on building sites for years, and I used the money earned from that to put myself through college, specialist paint techniques etc. I trained in fine art, and then I went out and painted murals on client’s walls, and created Roman Bathrooms and fantasy hand painted bedrooms, all the rage back in the late eighties and nineties. I then became an Interior Designer for a large DIY chain. For the past thirteen years I ran my own Interiors business, and while that is no longer in existence, I am now looking for my next challenge in life!
By day I make handmade jewellery and sell them on my Etsy shop. But by night I transform into the author! It took me some years to get to this point. I spent a very long time trying to get an agent because I thought it was the right thing to do, and after a heck of a lot of refusals, I nearly gave up. I came so close to hitting the delete button on Dead Camp 1 because I thought I did not stand a chance. At the very last moment, I decided to have a go at approaching a few publishers directly, and I sent the manuscript to six. Within two weeks, I had offers of publication from three! Let’s just say that there may have been tears lol. It was my chance, at last, to become a part of a world that I have always loved and admired from a distance, and it is one of the very best things to ever happened to me.
I recently ventured into the world of self-publishing. ‘The Man Inside Me’, ‘Alive’ and ‘The Last Child’ represent my first wave of self-published work, though I have been lucky to be able to use the same editor who I worked with on my traditionally published works.
My book, ‘The Man Inside Me’ is an MM Victorian Gothic Romance, and I think it is the favourite thing I have written so far. It deals with two men in their fifties trying to find love again, a subject that is very close to my heart as I approach that milestone. It is a very important book to me, and while it has some very ‘KERR’ twists and turns, it is, at its heart, a very romantic tale that deals with middle age. I am particularly proud of this book, and it is a very different spin on the MM genre.
Alive is my latest book, and the start of a whole new Dark Universe series. Part gay romance, part horror, part sci fi, part historical. I know, quite the mix. But that’s what I love to do. Conspiracy, mash ups and sexy horror!!
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I look forward to meeting you on social media.
