Another GRL has come and gone and it went by way too fast, as usual. Over the past several years I have come to think of the people at this convention as extended family, and every October, we have a family reunion! Being surrounded by like minded people, readers, bloggers, Industry professionals and other Authors is exhilarating, humbling and at times, overwhelming. I love the camaraderie, meeting so many new people and getting to see old friends. My first GRL was in 2014 in Chicago and that event not only opened so many doors for me, it introduced me to a world I had a no idea even existed. This event is so much more than just a CON, it’s a chance to meet your readers and have more personal, intimate one on one time with them. I did spend some time myself roaming and stalking some of my favorite Authors during the panels and lounges. Opening night this year there was a beautiful and emotional memorial for Ethan Day. His passing was so unexpected, it was lovely that there was an opportunity, for those that didn’t get the chance, to say goodbye.

^^ FANGIRLING AMY LANE! Each year the event gets larger and little changes are made here and there to keep things interesting. I especially enjoyed the Mpregnation fun faire that several Authors (all Mpreg Authors) got together and held in the style of a baby shower. And the saturday night ‘What’s your Superpower?” party was such a blast. There’s nothing us Authors won’t do to get the perfect pic in the photo booth! I have to say… Reese Dante, Mr. Dante, Carol Lynn and Teresa Emil truly pour their hearts and souls into this event to ensure it goes off without a hitch so that everyone attending is free to have an amazing time.
