Blog Tour incl Interview & Giveaway: A.D. Ellis – Forever Better Together

Do you write one book at a time or do you have several going at a time?

When I first started out, I did one at a time. I’m at a point now where I can do a couple at a time. At this current time, I’m writing a three-book series, a short story for an anthology submission, and a co-write with Declan Rhodes. The main thing I have to be cognizant of is to make sure the projects are different enough that I don’t confuse the settings/characters/happenings.

Pen or type writer or computer?

I’ll often write out notes in a notebook, but I mostly use my laptop for writing.

Tell us about a favorite character from a book.

-Sawyer from my 6th book (Torey Hope: The Later Years series) is a favorite because he and Luke were my first male/male gay romance, and I met one of my best friends because of that book.

-I adore Nicky from my first book and series. (For Nicky in the Torey Hope series)

-Josie and Kyle in Loving Josie were emotional to write.

-Kade and Cameron were very personal for me to write.

-Braeton in Braeton and Drew is SO FUN!

-Jay in Can’t Fight It was maybe the most fun to write.

-I adore Rhône in What Blooms Beneath.

-Reid was whiney and cranky in the beginning, but I fell in love with him in His Reluctant Cowboy.

-So many of my characters are based on real-life people that I can’t help but love them.

What made you want to become an author and do you feel it was the right decision?

I’ve met some of the best people in the world due to this author journey so I’d never say it was a bad decision. I love my characters and stories and I’ll definitely keep writing as long as there are stories in my head and readers who want to read them. Two of my very best friends came into my life as a direct result of being an author and I’m so blessed to know them. I’m so lucky to know such talented and supportive authors and I owe those relationships to my writing. So, it was definitely the right decision.

Can best friends find true love? What if your best friend is your adopted brother?
Griffin can’t fathom his life without Quincy, but he also can’t ignore
the crazy sexual attraction buzzing between them.
When Quincy offers up a contract to determine if the sexual tension brewing between
them is worth jeopardizing their nearly decade-long friendship,
Griffin finds himself helpless to say no.
Will they lose everything they’ve found in each other, or will they seize the
opportunity to turn their friendship into something even better?
Forever Better Together is a male/male opposites attract, friends-to-lovers story with
delicious sexual tension, a sizzling hot striptease, and emotions
guaranteed to punch you in the gut.
A.D. Ellis is an Indiana girl, born and raised. She spends much of her
time in central Indiana as an instructional coach/teacher in the
inner city of Indianapolis, being a mom to two amazing school-aged
children, and wondering how she and her husband of nearly two decades
haven’t driven each other insane yet. A lot of her time is also
devoted to phone call avoidance and her hatred of cooking.
She loves chocolate, wine, pizza, and naps along with reading and writing
romance. These loves don’t leave much time for housework, much to the
chagrin of her husband. Who would pick cleaning the house over a nap
or a good book? She uses any extra time to increase her fluency in
sarcasm.
A.D. uses she/her pronouns.
