“I’ll always want more of you.”
Robert McKenzie lives to work. He’s fresh out of university as a video-game entrepreneur, and his new app could actually save lives. But burning the candle at both ends means missing out on the best parts of his own life—including his boyfriend, Liam.
Liam Carroll works to live. His job as a bartender pays the rent—if not always the heating bill—and that’s plenty for now. But Robert’s workaholism reminds Liam his own life is going nowhere, and his own dreams are scaring the pants off him.
To jolt them out of their ruts, Robert invents a new game: He and Liam are to take turns offering each other sexy new challenges with irresistible rewards.
Of course, Robert gets more than he bargained for, as Liam takes their game in one surprising direction after another. Whether it’s in the bedroom, on the football pitch, or at the pub (or even the supermarket?), the things they learn about each other—and themselves—could change their lives forever.
Play Hard is the feel-good, staying-in-love story the world needs right now!
Note: This happier-ever-after novella features the main characters of Playing With Fire but can be read as a stand-alone story.

REVIEW:
I swear sometimes I’m such a ditz. I didn’t realize this was a part of a series until it was time to read it and by then…..well. I do recommend reading the others first, BUT, not having read the other books first, I still got an overall picture and could kind of figure some things out. But it’s a good story. It’s all about reconnecting on an intimate level.
Robert has been spending way too much time working, and is being neglecting other aspects of his life. Especially Liam. Liam has tried not to complain or make comments about it, but it is starting to get to him. He wants his boyfriend and lover back. But he also knows Robert needs to keep his mind going with challenges. So they need to make a compromise. Robert comes up with an idea to help spice things and reconnect them. He feels horrible for having neglected Liam because of work, but he’s going to make it up to him. And the challenges are definitely helping. It’s keeping their sex life very active and explosive but it’s also become something extremely intimate and loving. Now if they can just keep it going, because Robert’s ideas are making him brainstorm more for work and Liam is scared because he wants to take on a new job in life.
I really enjoyed getting to meet these guys. I’m not a huge soccer fan, so that part wasn’t for me, but I appreciate it anyway because I love sports in general. But what I really loved about these guys, is they recognized the problem and were willing to do whatever they could to fix it. Even if the idea seem absurd at first. They wanted to keep the love they had alive and fresh and be intimate again without work interfering. Yes, they both have to work. But it’s something that doesn’t have to overtake their lives. They need to compartmentalize and that’s what Robert really has to learn. How to have that balance for work but not neglect everything else in his life as well.
