BLURB:
In a perfect world, Lucas West would meet someone in one of the BDSM communities he was active in, someone who ached for a Daddy Dom as much as Lucas longed for a Little to care for. They would date, play, build something that was just for them, and share a future together.
In a perfect world, Colt Carter would get through his next deployment and then move closer to DC where he could create at least a semblance of a personal life. He wanted something outside of the Air Force, something kinky, something worth leaving everything behind for eventually. For years, he’d kept his inner Sadist and Daddy Dom locked up, only letting him out to play on rare occasions.
In a perfect world…
In reality, Lucas and Colt met each other.
REVIEW:
I enjoyed this introduction to Colt and Lucas’ relationship. They meet, realize they are both into the same kink, both actually Daddy Doms. While it would seem this would be a major issue preventing them from enjoying a fulfilling relationship, they press on. Both long to actually fulfill their Daddy Dom roles, but Lucas is a flexible top, and Colt actually takes one for the team when needed. In other words, they make it work, as their feelings for one another take a front seat to their kinks. I’m not usually a fan of instalove stories, but again, it works here. They are both older, know what they are looking for and recognize their feelings with a maturity that allows them to wait for one another through Colt’s deployment.
Much of this story is spent with the guys separated by Colt’s job as a fighter pilot – hot stuff, by the way. He is a cocky bastard, but let’s face it, anyone who can pilot a fighter jet gets some leeway in that department in my book. He knows he is, but he isn’t obnoxious about it so it actually is quite endearing. I wish we could have gotten a little more background on Lucas, but the focus here was on the relationship, so I tried to do so as well.
This was a quick and enjoyable read that sets up the story nicely. I’m not so much into the Daddy/Little theme – I’m a bit better with Daddy/Boy, and I can definitely tell a difference. But, I’m really looking forward to seeing how these two make out with finding someone to fulfill the gap in their kinky lives.
