Betrayal is the most painful blow to bear, especially from the one you love most.
The time has come. Valis is ready to finally join the Aesriphos ranks in an official capacity. The only thing standing in his way is his joining night with Tavros. But with nineteen days left before their marriage, Valis and Tavros are fighting to retain their sanity. Strange things keep happening, intent on tearing them apart. And no matter what Valis does to find the source of their anguish, he’s blocked at every turn.
Incessant nightmares, visions, and heated arguments strain their relationship to the breaking point, and harrowing events escalate in number and severity. Valis is forced to watch helplessly as the evil shifts to focus its malice on Tavros. And with every mind-bending incident, Tavros creeps closer and closer to the ultimate betrayal.
Valis and Tavros must marry to join the Aesriphos Order if Valis has any chance at rescuing the lost god jar. But if he can’t find the source of the insanity, he may lose Tavros forever.
The M/M romantic elements in God Jars is a very slow burn. The God Jars Saga contains explicit material including violence, abuse, and M/M sexual encounters, and is not advised for anyone under the age of 18.
REVIEW:
Ok. So I’m officially pissed. I hate cliffhangers and after this cliffhanger, I am DEFINITELY not a happy camper. Oh. My. Gah. So not cool. Even though, I still love this book and series, but not happy with that ending.
Valis and Tav have less than two weeks til they are joined as husbands. But Ayrn has promised retribution for Valis not returning his love and choosing Tav over him. These next two weeks will become some of the worst ever. Hallucinations between Tav and Valis are making them see things that aren’t true or there. And it’s causing a huge rift between them. To the point, Tav has broken things off with Valis for good. Valis can’t scru, which should be easy for him. Even Thryan can’t. Something is blocking them and the visions Valis is having are nothing but destruction and devastation. When he has it again during training and while trying to find Tav, he knows he has to get to the prison. They are using his mark to feed their power to destroy everyone. Valis puts a stop to it finally but it still comes at a loss. As he rests to try to find Tav again and what is going on, what he finds, he knew in his heart it would be true but he didn’t want to believe it. Now he has to save Tav or it will be the last time he will see him alive.
Of all the stuff that Valis has been through, the only thing that comes close is torture he endured under his father. These past two weeks have been absolute hell on Earth. He and Tav can’t stop fighting because Tav has been infected by the Qos. But how? That’s what he’s trying to figure out while trying to figure out who’s trying to harm them. And my heart just aches for him because it’s not stopping and Tav is believing what is going on instead of believing Valis. It takes Tav going head to head with the enemy to see who is behind it all and realize Valis was really right. It has been a complete test of strength and patience, all while getting his heart broke for Valis. All while trying to keep teaching what he’s supposed to teach. It’s been awful. And the ultimate betrayal behind it all. But it’s the ending of this book that has me so upset. Because of course, you’re left hanging, but it’s also because of who it involves. So, I definitely can’t wait to get to the next book.
It’s a great series. It really is. But no more cliffhangers please lol.
