Rule #10- Remember, Daddy knows best.
A move to a new town was the fresh start River needed to finally find himself and figure out what to do with his life. He is tired of making decisions and messing up. If only there was someone who could tell him what to do for a while so he didn’t have to think.
Blake has had enough playing around. He wants the real thing. Someone to come home to at night. Someone to love. Someone who would let him take care of them, completely.
Blake is new to dating a man, as well as new to being a Daddy. River is a hot mess. No boy has ever needed a Daddy more than he does.
Can a newly out bisexual man just coming into his own be the right Daddy to handle River?
REVIEW:
The daddy/boy kink is not one of my favorites but I do like it. I especially like it in this book. I think most of the daddy relationships I’ve read have been daddy Doms and don’t misunderstand me. I love the BDSM lifestyle. But everyone has things they like or don’t like and sometimes certain things for me go too far. But I loved this story because both realized they needed something but didn’t know what. And what they thought would be an experiment, turned out to be what they needed all along.
River is a hot mess. No two ways about it. His high level ADHD leaves him hard to deal with, according to some people, and so he runs thinking he’s a burden. It’s also put a damper on what he wants to do with his life because what he thinks he likes, he can’t follow through on? Except his photography. But it requires money for what all he needs and the pub he works at isn’t cutting it. Not to mention the shit hole he lives in because of his roommates. But when he runs across Blake’s path, all he can think of is how quick he can get this man to bed. And Blake has finally discovered what he needs and how he wants it with River. They agree to a trial run. Blake being Daddy and River being baby boy, but River is just waiting for the moment when Blake is tired of him like everyone else. And with what he’s hearing, it may have finally happened, and he did what he always does. Runs.
I love River. He just has that eclectic personality that is just perfect. As Blake calls him. ‘perfectly imperfect.’ And he is. He’s caring, smart as hell, sassy, loyal and loving all while being scatterbrained and a mess lol. You just want to wrap him and and squish him to pieces. And that’s what I love about Blake. Blake just takes it all in stride. He’s calm and level headed and can deal with the mess River gets himself into. Unless River doesn’t follow the rules. Then Daddy is not happy. But he loves River for River. He doesn’t care that he’s high maintenance, he just takes it in stride and adjusts accordingly. And adjusts River as well.
It’s a really sweet story and I was so happy to see all the gang back as well. Not all made an appearance, but most and it was just as fun as all the other books.
