REVIEW:
Well, leave it to Amy to take a crash in a blizzard, with injuries and barely any hope of survival, and turn it into a winner of a love story. And funny at that. The quips with these guys lol. Even injured, tired, hungry and running out of hope, they’re sassy, sarcastic and whipping out one liners.
Superstar snowboarder Tevyn has been the object of Mallory’s desires for 5 years. But Tevyn is a client. But when Mallory lost his last boyfriend because he could see how much Mallory cared for Tevyn, it was kind of a wake up call for him. The problem is Tevyn feels the same way but Mallory has no clue. All he sees is Tevyn flirting with guys and girls and taking them to bed. But he’s still there for Tevyn, doing all he can to take care of him and his grandma, Missy. Which brings him to the bad part of his job and friendship. Missy broke her hip and is severely sick and may not make it much longer. They try to hurry to leave but the weather is too much so they wait til morning. Thinking they can do it with their pilot, Damien, they try to go. But a blast of wind sends them crashing and barely making it out before the copter careens over a cliff. But it’s not all happy endings. Damien’s leg is badly broke, the blizzard is getting worse, and they have no chance at being rescued right now. For days, they do all they can to survive, but knowing they’re running out of time, they have no choice but to try to make a run for it. All while hoping and praying they make it somewhere where they can be rescued.
I guess the good thing to come out of this crash, is Tevyn and Malory finally decided to stop circling each other and let out how they feel. But at what cost? They’re terrified they won’t make it out, just when they could be starting their lives together. And even more terrified because how hurt Damien is. But the thing with Tevyn and Mallory, they have so much to learn about each other, even though they’ve known each other for 5 years. They both need to learn to trust and believe in each other. Well, Tevyn needs to believe a bit more. Mallory has always believed in Tevyn, even when his business partner said it was a bad idea. But nothing like some bad situations and life changing incidents to make you see what’s been in front of you all along.
It’s a damn good book. As only Amy can write. Now I’m ready to see two others get their story. I feel like they really deserve it.
