Good afternoon!
Today is the 4th of July in America. We’re celebrating freedoms that we fought hard for, and are still fighting for. It’s a good day to look back on how easily our government can loose sight of it’s job: taking care of, and doing what the majority of it’s citizens want. Right now the “man” at the helm is a complete nightmare for most Americans. There was a time I believed that congress would control anyone who got out of control, or tried to use his position to make a profit. Unfortunately, it would seem that keeping control is far more important to most of the far right. They have zero interest in doing what even their own voters want. They vote time and again against things that most Americans want. It seems that nothing is too far for them. They’ll actually put up with Russia interfering in our elections, and being buddies with Syria, just so that they can rape and pillage just a bit longer.
I truly worry for our country if Trump wins another term. Our country is resilient, but he’s making a mockery of us in the world. That’s not only embarrassing, it’s dangerous. Very dangerous. He’s ignorant, and not interested in learning. He’s arrogant, and has the control of a petulant toddler. He is a man who would get into a war just to hold onto power. That’s horrifying. Terrifying.
So today, when you lift your glass to our country, please remember that the fight isn’t over. We need to protect those who are under attack: women, minorities, LGBTQ communities, and so many others. We need to stay vigilant, and act when we can, to combat the erosion of our rights. Let’s not forget: all men are created equal.

Well said.
