OVERALL REVIEW:
This is one of the most heart-warming, yet funniest series I’ve read. Seth and Max make this series. Max especially. Oh my word, the hijinks. All the characters have their special place but those two. Make it perfect. I have enjoyed the hell out of this series and you guys need to read it.

Fate is a funny thing. Some try to cut its threads, while others wrap themselves in it like a blanket.
Young wolf shifter Max is cocky and crass. Unlike others his age, he has yet to discover a talent that will serve his pack. Since childhood, he’s been convinced the pack alpha is his mate, but Alpha Christian cannot envision unfiltered and directionless Max taking the place of his elegant mother at the head of the pack. As Max begins to build a life with his best friend, he also begins to see that maybe what he thought was inevitable was all in his head, and it’s time to move on.
Or are they both denying fate?
REVIEW:
A good start to this series. Max cracks me up so bad. He reminds me of another character I love from another series. All flair and mouth, but underneath, compassionate, loyal and loving.
When puberty hits us, we think we’re in love with everyone. Max did. He even thought Seth might be his mate as well but learned they were just best friends. Of course he was little then. But even through all the crushes and maybe mates, Max knew in his heart, his true mate was Christian, the alpha. But Christian didn’t feel the same. Or was denying it, until Seth stepped in in defense of Max and when Max had a date. Christian could no longer deny what was his. But trying to be a mate while going to school, starting a business and running from a father who wants to kill you has made things hard and Max is wondering if he will even get to be the Omega to his mate.
What made this book for me, was the dynamic between Seth and Max. Best friends for years, they’re joined at the hip. Where Max is outgoing, Seth is shy. Where Max is flighty and spontaneous, Seth liked to think things through. But they are there for each other no matter what. Through good and bad, they stick together. Through tears and laughter no matter what. When Max lost his family, Seth became his family. Simple as that. And they are what made this book. Yeah, it was hot with the tension between Christian and Max, but, I don’t know, something about Seth and Max just made it perfect.

REVIEW:
This has been the funniest series. Oh my word. I’m telling you, the hijinks of Seth and Max make these books and this series just amazing.
This book has Seth meeting his mate. Who is human. And a dog trainer. When Jack speaks, Seth’s wolf can’t help but obey and it’s freaking him out. So he and Max plan to make Seth’s wolf Max’s pet that needs training. Only it’s even funnier because Seth told a fun about Max, which Max is milking for all it’s worth btw, but to get back at Seth for it, he calls Seth’s wolf, Nancy. Oh these boys. It works for a bit. Seth’s wolf bonds to Jack and Jack wants to adopt him. He’s also getting to know Seth and is falling in love. Until one bad night, when Jack finds out the secrets of what’s really going on and is completely freaked out. And it may be over for good.
It breaks my heart for Seth. He’s lonely without Max at night. He’s lonely with no mate. And because of how he sees himself, as a freak, (you’ll have to read to find out why) he’s afraid no one will want him. When he meets Jack all he wants to do is climb him like a tree in both forms. But how do you tell a human you shift into a wolf? He wasn’t even thinking of the trouble he could have caused the pack itself, he just wanted his mate. And my heart broke.
It’s a lot for Jack to take in for sure when he finds out. Even as much as I love the idea of shifters, I think it would scare the shit out of me as well. It’s a tough story. I cried. But because of tweedle Dee and tweedle dum, it was funny as hell too. And I’m really falling for Christian’s bodyguard and beta, Zeus. He’s a special guy.

REVIEW:
I think I need more of this series. It’s so good. And this has some big changes.
Max is determined to find a mate for Zeus now that he and Seth are mated. It’s occurred to Zeus that a lot of things have now changed. He has always been the beta, the protector, but he feels finally like he’s part of a family, not just a pack. Having Christian and Max foster to little ones who lost their parents, have made a big impact, and Zeus’s big soft heart is in protective mode even more. Especially when he sees someone new snooping around town. Investigating what’s going on, Zeus picks up on several things. Toren was looking for the kids, but refuses to turn them in, Toren is very sick from a poison, and Zeus feels things for him he’s never felt before. Enough to disobey his alpha. Twice. When the truth of some things at revealed, more and more things are coming to the surface and it’s scary for Toren and Zeus. But Zeus is hoping maybe the mate bond he’s feeling with keep Toren from running in fear.
Yay!!! Zeus found his mate. But not is it a complicated story. Everyone’s parents are being killed, someone is being shady somewhere and no one knows where to really look for the trouble. But Zeus is determined to solve this puzzle. And at least save Toren and the babies. I love Zeus so much. He’s such a giant of a man with tattoos everywhere that make him scary looking. He does his job well. But he is the biggest softie known to man. His heart is just goo. He wants to protect and love everyone and it’s just adorable. I’m so glad Toren has him to help.
Toren, himself, is in a conundrum. Not knowing who or what he really is. He just knows he different and something is really wrong with him. And Zeus is exactly what he needs.
I love this series. I hope maybe there will be another book or two along the way.
