A trip to the dentist has never been so… interesting.
Aiden Cooper, a workaholic banker with little time for a personal life let alone romance, finds himself in a bit of a pickle when his wisdom teeth start giving him trouble. Upon visiting a new dentist, he ends up getting quite a bit more than he bargained for.
Sebastian Gibbs is a man who makes no apology for who he is or what he wants. The moment a new patient walks through the door of his dental surgery he wonders if, for the first time in his life, he can have it all.
This is a re-release from original story (which was part of the Bollocks! Anthology back in 2014). It’s had major edits an bonus chapter added, and will be available exclusively on KU.
“I was hoping that now you’re not jacked up on drugs, you’d still want to ask me out.” From what I knew of him, he wasn’t one to mince words, but his question still didn’t fail to surprise me.
“You were?” Heat rushed to the apples of my cheeks, and I felt like a naughty child who had been caught with his hand in the biscuit barrel. It didn’t escape my notice that his expression softened the second he sensed my unease, a hint of a smile tugging at the corner of his mouth.
“Yes, of course,” he confirmed, looking at me as though I were insane.
I swallowed several times, staring at our joined hands, his knuckles growing white as his long fingers gripped mine tighter still.
“Well, I guess I have been wondering about… erm, if you’d… perhaps ever consider…” I was floundering, unable to get the words out I needed to say. It wasn’t as though I’d never asked anyone on a date before, but this wasn’t any random bloke I wanted to hook up with, and I’d been rendered mute.
“Yes, querido?” The way those whispered words fell from his mouth, urging me to go on, caused my cock to jump. Pleading hazel eyes stared into my very soul, his aura, his very presence dissolving my every last bit of resistance.
“If you’d go get a coffee with me. I mean, coffee’s okay, isn’t it? No hard bits in coffee. Well, unless you ordered a biscotti or something to go with it. Or ate actual coffee beans. Not that I’d want to eat actual coffee beans, because I’m quite certain they’d taste like rubbish.”
His laughter broke free, bringing my ramblings to a halt, the sound warming my heart while the urge to cover the plushness of his sweet lips with my own was near impossible to resist.
Moving so close his hot breath tickled my ear, he whispered in a sweet, seductive voice, “I thought you’d never ask.”
L.J. Harris is a mother, wife, an introvert and author. Her family is her life, her soul, and the very reason she gets out of bed every day. Coming a close second is her writing.
She discovered a passion for putting pen to paper in her later years, jotting down poems in birthday cards for family members.
It was then a spark was lit, and ever since, she’s been unable to switch off the urge to share her stories.
L.J. Harris discovered that as much as experiencing pain, loss and betrayal can be devastating, capturing the feelings of loss that some of her characters have had to endure without first-hand knowledge would have proved difficult.
L.J. has been previously published and looks forward to continuing to share her work. She can be found at: Blog Facebook Goodreads Twitter
