REVIEW:
I didn’t get to read the first one but I sure am glad I got to read this one. Holy moley. I will tell you, you really do need to read book 1 first, BUT it explains quite a bit in this book so you aren’t totally clueless. I really enjoyed this book. So much. Dragons, and shifter. Smart ass best friends lol. And a being that is a bit of everything rolled into one. He just doesn’t know what to do with it all yet.
Jamie has been brought to hell, he feels like. Taken away from his earthly home, he’s been taken through a portal into a whole other world. And one where he is seriously hated. Everyone seems to be hiding something, especially his mate. And the more he’s learning, the madder he’s getting. Which is good and bad. Good because the madder he gets, the more powers he discovers and learns. Bad, because he’s been hunted. And by what, no one is sure of yet. All he knows is secrets are being revealed and he’s tired of being lied to. And tired of having to hide himself. But with all the threats against him, he’s no longer hiding and the one hunting him may finally have him.
You know, trying to hide the fact that you’re only supposed to be a vampire, is not an easy thing. Especially when you are SO much more. But I have to hand it to Jamie, he did the best he could. With his friend, Alia, harping his every step helps, until Jamie imagines usually imaginative ways to kill him lol. To Jamie’s defense, Alia can be a bit much. His relationship with Aiden is a source of friction as well. Jamie doesn’t know the extent Aiden went to to bond him and Jamie. The secrets floating around everywhere would drive me insane. And having to deal with all he’s dealing with while being surrounded by hatred because he’s a vampire. Yeah, I’d want to hide or go home too.
This is a really good book. I mean dragons, hello. Lol. But it’s got a lot of suspense, action. There’s some blood being shed everywhere. Nice and gory. I love it. Lol. Give it go!
