To round off this whimsical and romantic shifter set is a brand-new novella, An Erie Uprising!
It’s been one wonderfully romantic year since skunk shifter Templeton Reed met Mikel Lupei, the alpha wolf of the Lake Erie pack. During that year, the two men fell in love and worked side-by-side to solve some tricky murder mysteries. They also opened up Lupei Manor, Mikel’s familial home, to other LGBTQ mystical beings in the Erie area. Sadly, being gay in the supernatural world Templeton and Mikel live in can be a death sentence.
During the past year, the magical world has slowly been coming unraveled. Civil unrest now runs rampant through the community as the lesser breeds revolt against the hateful dictates of the Elder Council. The uprising will surely touch every person residing in the magical world near Lake Erie. Will the flames of unrest and war consume everything and everyone Templeton and Mikel hold dear as well?

Templeton Reed has been hiding his inner polecat since he was a child. Keeping his animal secreted is hard for a shifter, especially when one is living in a secret community of mystical beings. It`s the wolf shifters that cause Templeton the most trouble with their darned sensitive noses.
Templeton has a run-in with the Lake Erie pack and their alpha, Mikel Lupei, at the Office for Transmogrification Registration (OTTER). Templeton has a desk job checking registration papers and dealing with wolf shifters is not part of his job description. After that upsetting meeting the meek and mild office worker suddenly finds himself in the center of not only civil unrest among the shifter community, but a violent plan for a coup aimed at rousting Mikel.
Templeton and Mikel, a skilled tracker of rogue shifters, are soon not only fighting for their lives, they`re also fighting the rigidly archaic rules of their kind, as well as the person responsible for trying to take over Mikel`s pack from the inside. Can this magical odd couple turn a passionate attraction into a full-fledged love affair?
REVIEW:
I laughed so freaking hard with this book. I am absolutely going to love this little series. Templeton is the greatest. I love him lol. He’s such a spitfire. And takes no crap, even from huge wolves that could snap him in two.
Templeton is used to being picked on. He’s a little guy, but he’s also an extremely rare striped skunk. He tries to keep himself under control, but stress can bring out the musk. And boy is he stressed. Between being picked on by one of the lycans, being smelled and crowded by the alpha, and now being hunted to die, he’s about at his wit’s end. He figured out the deal with Mikel. They’re attracted to each other. And just when things are going well in that department, more wolves are coming to kill him. When Templeton is kidnapped, he finds out who and why and having to tell Mikel is going to be devastating. The problem is getting to Mikel to warm him before they get to Templeton to kill him.
I’m telling you, Templeton is the greatest. I adore him so much. He’s so snarky and sarcastic when he’s being slighted or something. He just has a smartass personality when you get to know him and I love it. And I love that with Mikel, he’s able to blossom like that. Normally, he always seems so meek and quiet because everyone tries to pick on him. But with Mikel, he can be free to be himself.
I hate how they are judged, though. Like with anything in life, heaven forbid you’re different or like a different gender or in this case species. They are going to have a long road ahead of them, if people from the inside will ever stop trying to kill them, maybe some changes can take effect.

BLURB:
Templeton Reed, skunk shifter, is having trouble sharing a mansion with wolf shifters, even if one is his beloved Mikel, the alpha of the pack. Winter has settled over Lupei mansion and cabin fever is pushing the pack into rowdy behavior. To counter the boredom, and to instill some decorum into his fellow wolves, Mikel announces a trip to the opera is in order.
At first, Templeton is thrilled to be attending such a prestigious event. He is, after all, a lesser breed, and has never been privy to such glamorous entertainment. Sadly, what starts out as a night of opulence and refinement turns into a murder mystery when Templeton discovers a body in the cheap seats. Who, or what, has killed one of the elite of the Lake Erie shifter community? Who is the stranger that arrives to oversee the murder investigation and why is he insisting on staying at Lupei Manor? Will Templeton survive long enough to see act two?
REVIEW:
This is getting better and better. *Snorts* oh my gosh. First, Templeton and Rigby, who’s hilarious himself, now we have a vampire, Vincente, who love to taunt Mikel the most, but basically everybody. And his human consort, Akio, who seems to be just as cute as can be.
Vampires are always kind of haughty, but Vincente takes the cake. Oh, he’s so pompous and asinine, but it’s funny as hell the way he goes at it with everyone.
Mikel decided to make it up to Templeton, after a little incident at the house, by taking them all to see an opera. But what Templeton discovers at the end leaves the show lacking. Another body has been found and how he was killed is a mystery in itself. Until Vincente comes along. Now, vampires and werewolves don’t get along, but for this they have to. For several reasons. Templeton starts to figure out what’s going on himself while Mikel is away chasing a lead, but gets himself caught and trapped by the killers. And he’s in for a shock when he realizes what they are. Now if he can manage to stay alive to get word to everyone.
Templeton cannot seem to stay out of trouble for the life of him. Lol. Everywhere he turns, he ends up kidnapped, trapped or something. And trying to defend himself with his spray works to a point, but leaves him smelling not so Rosy when everyone comes to rescue him. It cracks me up.
This series is so good so far. The characters are sarcastic, snappy, smartassy and anything else you want to add. These short books are a comical set of murder mysteries that I am having a ball with. If you guys haven’t read them, you really need to get these. I’m off to read the next one and have more fun.

Spring has finally arrived along the shores of Lake Erie and no one is happier than the skunk shifter, Templeton Reed. Now that the snows have melted, he can frolic and play on the grounds of Lupei Manor, the formidable home that he shares with his life partner, Mikel Lupei, the alpha of the Lake Erie werewolf pack. What a pity that his joy is short lived.
Not only does a stranger appear to shake things up in the manor, bodies begin showing up on the grounds as well! Could the newcomer to the pack be the one viciously killing innocent humans and shifters? Or is there a more nefarious force at work lurking just outside the boundaries of the ancient manse that Templeton, Mikel, and their LGBT friends call home?
REVIEW:
You know, one thing I’m loving about this series as well, is that they’ve made the Lupei Manor a free, safe place for LGBT beings. If 1any are caught, they know that from the mixing of beings, with the same sex couples as well, there will be hell to pay. But they are trying to make changes in people’s minds.
And I’m happy that there is a new character that is brought to the bunch. He’s a cousin of Mikel but has a secret that caused him to have to run to Mikel for safety. Templeton finds out the secret by accident, but promises to keep until the cousin is ready. But with all the new murders happening, it’s beginning to look more and more suspicious. It’s not until the threat of a mind reader from Vincente that the truth comes out. Which means the murderer is still on the loose. But one thing leads to another and of course Templeton attracts trouble. With another new friend who just showed up, they go after the murderer and hope Mikel and the rest of the pack show up in time to help save them.
Templeton can NOT stay out of trouble lol. No matter what he does, he finds himself in the middle of all kinds of stuff. It’s just different kinds of trouble this time. With the moon high, Mikel is super frisky, the secret he’s hiding about Mike’s cousin, the member of the Manor, and almost getting killed again. Poor little skunk. But he stands up and fights, regardless. He knows he may lose but he’s not going down without a fight and I just love the stuffing out of him. I love how open he is about helping others too. He tries so hard to give everyone the benefit of the doubt and it’s a good thing because sometimes Mikel gets a little too feral, so to speak.
Another good one. I can’t wait to read the last one. You guys need this series!!

REVIEW:
Well this was the final showdown so to speak. Things have been changing for over a year and it’s finally come to a head. They tried to lock up Mikel but Templeton was having none of that. Armed with a half-hibernated bear, a hybrid vamp, and himself, they break everyone out. But now it’s time to run. The Elders are on the warpath and they are determined to take out everyone in Erie and whoever sides with them. It’s going to take the joined forces of all shifters and vamps to overcome this oppression and bring everyone in this century. But it is going to come with a price, and the loss may be to great.
I don’t know why hate is such a deal. We are all different. All made to be different. There should be no reason for hate. And what is worse is those who try to affect the change that needs to happen. Mikel knew it was coming. Vincente did too. They had ins that no one else really did. Templeton was terrified though. They all were really. They were all starting to feel like a family and things were changing even with them.
One hell of a series. I’ve got to say my favorite line out of all these books ‘Damnit Rigby!!!’ You’ve got to read to find out why. And it’s so worth it. One of the best series I’ve read.
