Book synopsis:
When a plane crashes in the Alaskan wilderness, the best place to land is in the arms of a younger man…
Hotshot attorney Reuben Graham has finally agreed to take a vacation, when his plane suddenly plunges into the Alaskan wilderness.
Just his luck.
But his frustrations have only begun as he finds himself stranded with the injured, and superhot, pilot, a man who’s endearingly sociable—and much too young for Reuben to be wanting him this badly.
As the sole provider for his sisters and ailing father, Tobias Kooly is devastated to learn his injuries will prevent him from working or even making it back home. So when Reuben insists on giving him a place to recover, not even Toby’s pride can make him refuse. He’s never been tempted by a silver fox before, but something about Reuben is impossible to resist.
Recuperating in Reuben’s care is the last thing Toby expected, yet the closer they become, the more incredibly right it feels, prompting workaholic Reuben to question the life he’s been living. But when the pressure Toby’s under starts closing in, both men will have to decide if there’s room in their hearts for a love they never saw coming.

“This isn’t cuddling. Even I know that much.” A smile tugged at the corners of Reuben’s mouth, making him look slightly wicked, the sort of temptation Toby couldn’t resist playing with.
“It’s not? Maybe you should show me. Give me a better vocabulary or whatnot.”
Reuben’s mouth quirked, and he started to scoot closer before he abruptly stopped. “Wait. I don’t want to hurt you.”
“You won’t. I’ve got my pillows of doom here. Surely we can get creative?”
“We shouldn’t.”
The firmness in Reuben’s voice made Toby that much more determined to play. They were in this weird gray area—sort of friends, sort of roommates, no longer client and paid tour guide, and Toby’s usual ethics didn’t seem to apply. In fact, his brain was doing an excellent job rationalizing his desire. If they were going to be friends or roommates, they might as well be the kind that had a little fun together.
“It’s a cuddling demonstration during a boring movie, not an engagement ring. Come on. Show me what I’ve been missing.”
Face serious, Reuben considered him for a long moment, doing some sort of mental calculation Toby could only guess at. “Okay.”
Reuben resumed moving closer, close enough that his body was pressed up against Toby’s, a sensation Toby didn’t realize he’d been craving until he had it—big body next to his, shoulder to shoulder, hip to hip. And Toby wasn’t a small man, but Reuben made him feel…well, not tiny exactly. But safe, which was a silly thing really, to feel protected by the mere presence of that much warm bulk sheltering his body. But he did, relaxing into the contact, trusting in it the same way he’d believed Reuben when he’d said Toby would be okay. He’d kind of expected Reuben to call it good once he’d moved close enough to touch Toby’s uninjured side. But he went a step further, leg overlapping Toby’s but managing to stay clear of the leg with the cast. Same for his arm, which came around Toby, not yanking him closer, but there.
Secure. That was the right word. He felt secure in a way that maybe he hadn’t even realized he’d needed until right here, this moment, this guy. He’d had massages from well-meaning partners that didn’t relax him as much as this simple act of closeness.
