REVIEW:
I knew as soon as I read that this was going to be an Edward and Kit short, I was going to be in heaven. I have loved these two from book 1 and still love them to pieces. And it hasn’t been an easy ride for them. If you read the series, you will understand why.
So, I really felt heartbroken for Kit in this one. He’s trying so hard to not be melancholy at times but it’s not exactly easy seeing has he has a new life he never really wanted. He’s tried to adjust and has actually done quite beautifully for the most part. But sometimes the reminder is too much. Like not being able to eat real food, or do certain things. He loves to bake and can’t even taste what he’s making. So doing something simple, like going to watch fireworks, may not seem like a big deal but for Kit it is. Edward, of course, would do anything for Kit and they go. But when the fireworks start exploding, they get a huge surprise. The fireworks spell out, HELP ME. Kit steals the fireworks lol, Edward and Kamaria figure out it’s a ghost and the whole story and they set out on a road trip to make it right. If only they can get the remaining wife to believe the story. Thankfully she does to a point, but to them it’s all weird. Lol
This adventure happened to be a mild one on the Edward and Kit scale. Just a simple thing. And we get to see a little more into how Kit is still trying to adjust to his new life. After being married to Edward, he loves his life. But the old life is still there in the background. It’s still an adjustment after 2 years. He still can’t go near the basement. But he’s trying to be the best for Edward and their little life.
I love this series so much. And I can’t wait to see where their next adventures take them.
