He even offers to spend spring break at Logan’s home, helping him and the babies settle in. Dirk loves being a dad, and he wants to help Logan find the same joy. It doesn’t hurt that they enjoy spending time together.
Before they even realize it, they’re settling into a routine… becoming a family.
Falling in love.
But their new bond is about to face the ultimate test. Will they come through and realize that with love, there’s no such thing as enough?
REVIEW:
If you want a sweet romantic story, that almost feels like a fairy tale, this one is for you. It was an incredibly sweet story of love and family. There’s a little angst in there, but then when does family not have a little? Lol. I didn’t get to read the first one of this series, but I wasn’t too lost. You kind of miss just a little bit with some reference to Aidan and Dev’s relationship and kids, but not much. But be sure, like me, to go back and read it if you do it backwards like me. This Teddy Bear Club is adorable.
Logan is in a panic. Kind of. It’s definitely mixed emotions. He loves kids. He shares custody of his daughter, Sarah, with her mother. No, they were never married. Just agreed to have her together. But Logan has always wanted more, and signed up to be a foster parent. He did all he was supposed to do and they told him it may be a bit before he gets a child. But he just got the news that he wasn’t getting one…but three! Triplets, are just barely born. He’s happy but terrified. Thankfully, all his friends have jumped in to help to make sure he has all he needs. Especially Dirk. Dirk and his little girl, Melly, have jumped right in, helping take care of the babies. But as the time draws closer for Logan to go back to work, he’s trying to find a nanny and they aren’t working out. And then tragedy strikes, making things all that more harder. Dirk has jumped in, offering to quit his job and be the full time house ‘husband’, which brings up some more issues. Are they ready to be in love and be a full time family or will it just fizzle out?
Being a parent myself, and a single one, I totally get how Logan feels. And I only have one. I think I would have freaked if it would have been triplets. Somehow, I’m sure I would have figured it out, but holy crap, that’s a scary thought. But a commendable one as well. There are so many kids out there that need homes and in this story, Logan was ready to step up and do what was needed. Even if it was three little ones instead of one big one. But he’s more than proved he’s a good dad, it’s just a lot of work. And babies are very intuitive. They pick up on everything.
Having Dirk there helped as well. Dirk is just a natural. He gets flustered sometimes as well, but he’s got that strong, unflappable personality that just makes everything better. It helps he’s half in love with Logan too. Lol. These guys took on a great responsibility. Both by choice. Both could have walked away and said no, but they did what was needed and what felt right. And ended up with the start of a happy little family.
There’s always ups and downs, though. Life is full of them. But with some hope and a lot of work, things can often turn around and be good. Not always, but most of the time. Logan had to learn as well not to be afraid to ask for help. Sometimes we all need to remember that.
It’s a good little story. Happy and full of family and love. In this day and age, we need a lot of that.
