On stage, Adam lets his passion drive him. All his secret desires, everything nasty, dirty, and beautiful flows freely through him, for once in harmony. His soul thrives when his body moves, but only on stage. Adam’s passionate nature makes him a great dancer…and a failure at life. He’s a lonely, emotional mess. Going home with a man far out of his reach is the last thing Adam should do. Christoffer represents everything Adam isn’t: strong, independent, educated, and rich. His kind eyes, at odds with his brutish form, make Adam’s knees and restraint buckle.
Once Christoffer sees Adam dancing, he’s lost. The young man is mesmerizing, otherworldly, and unpredictable. Whatever might happen between them, it will be transient, and Christoffer will most likely get hurt. The temptation is too great, however, and the sex explosive. He might as well enjoy every moment he’s given, even if it’s just one day, maybe two. If Christoffer treads carefully, Adam might stay until Monday.
Warning: Adam Only is a gay erotic love story. It contains explicit language and sexual scenes between two consenting men. For adult readers only.
REVIEW:
This story sort of backtracks to show how Adam and Christopher met. We actually met them in the previous book, Tyler’s story. Tyler and Christopher are friends and sometimes f**kbuddies who are attending a party where Christopher notices Adam. This is sort of a love at first sight story when Christopher spots Adam dancing and in his element. They end up hooking up which turns into a weekend affair before Adam turns tail and runs.
There is a bit more to Adam’s issues which I felt could have been explored a bit more. They seemed a little glossed over when they felt pretty significant, such as Adam’s insecurities, his longing to be owned while at the same time needing to be fiercely independent. It seemed as though he said one thing, but went ahead down the same road anyway. Thankfully, Christopher was the deciding factor that made things better and everything ok for Adam. He is just generally a nice guy looking for someone to love, cherish and care for. He quickly sees that perfect person is Adam if only he can convince him it is ok for him to be that person.
For me, the two things that affected my overall enjoyment was the instalove (by this, I mean, the I love you’s were out pretty quick before they even knew their last names) and the use of terms of endearment. They kind of go hand in hand, but the use of “sweetheart” pulls me out of sexy mode really quickly, though I realize I am probably in the minority. As for compatibility, these two seemed to be a perfect match sexually, even though they were at opposite ends physically. Christopher is a big ole bear who was blessed (or cursed) with a large member. Adam happens to be a bit of a size queen and more than eager to take Christopher on. We didn’t get to see much of them outside of the sex and resulting aftercare. It was creative, well written and scorching hot, but I was hoping to see more relationship-wise.
Nonetheless, this was a really sweet story that I’m sure most people will love. I definitely recommend giving the other book a shot, either before or after reading this one. If you to read the other Other book before this one, it will give you a glimpse of how these guys are at the end of this story – more in love than ever. If not, you will surely want to check it out after reading this one. However, I think I am again in the minority camp because I actually enjoyed that book more, ironically, for most of the same reasons that people thought this one was better. Either way, they are great stories that I can definitely recommend.
