SERIES: The Mages’ Guild Trilogy – Book Three
AUTHOR: Andi Van
PUBLISHER: Harmony Ink Press
LENGTH: 214 pages
RELEASE DATE: March 5, 2019
BLURB:
Zaree Muna’s loyalty to her brother Tasis has taken her to some strange places, but she never could’ve predicted ending up where she now finds herself. The victims of a spell, Tasis and his familiar are unable to wake, leaving Zaree and her allies to face the mad king of Archai on their own. Their quest brings them face-to-face with the Maker herself, and she offers a dire prophecy: they’ll suffer three deaths as they fight for the fate of their world. They’ll lose two people close to them before the final death threatens their chance of victory.
But Zaree isn’t planning to give up—not on Tasis’s dream and not on their future. If that means staring down death, she’s ready. A thousand years is too long to let their struggles end in anything but triumph.
REVIEW:
I have to apologize. I read this book and wrote a review right after it was released back in March. The only problem? I was working on my laptop while traveling and somehow the entire review disappeared. I looked for it a couple times and got sidetracked, but now I’m back to redo it.
Andi Van is an author to watch. I love the Mages’ Guild Trilogy and I really enjoyed this latest installment in the series. My only complaint? I wanted it to keep going. I’m hoping the author will reconsider that this is a trilogy, much as Douglas Adams did with his Hitchhiker’s trilogy. There is more to tell in this story in my opinion.
I loved the diverse characters that the author created during the course of these three books. They seemed so realistic and I will admit I got sucked into wanting more because of some of the new characters and their storylines that seemed to spring up in this one. There is a triad which needs exploring and I want to know what happens next for Zaree. The original storyline has reached what could be a conclusion, but hey, one can hope… right?
No spoilers, because I think you need to read this entire trilogy without a lot of clues. There are things revealed along the way that flow organically. What I will say is that if you’re in the mood for a very well written young adult fantasy series, you should check out The Mages’ Guild series. I think you’ll enjoy it.

There are currently two more trilogies set in this world in the pipeline. The next set, when I eventually get started on it, will be focused on three kings (two of whom you’ve met by the end of Magic Triumphed). 😁 Thank you for your kind words! ❤
