Ethan has been paired with his dad as the Corporation’s chosen lawyer, and that in itself causes both old ghosts and new challenges to be resolved.
In the meantime, Ryder tries to be the supportive boyfriend and the capable boss. But he’s in way over his head, and he knows it. When all else fails for Ryder, he at least has the dance…and a trump card on the payroll he had no idea of.
Hayden had danced himself to the honor of the last dance, yet the troubles he had in his wake were more than he and anyone else had anticipated. Once Ryder was made aware of it, Hayden found himself encapsulated in a protective shield of Brutus and his brothers.
But the mob isn’t giving up without a fight, and their methods are many and dirty.
REVIEW:
I’ve really, really been enjoying this series from Meraki P. Lyhne. His books are always on my must-read list. This series is fairly light reading, compared to the other works by the author… but it kept me entertained through all three books. The series, which is set on a mining planet somewhere far out in space, has intrigued me since I read the first installment.
I like the world that Mr. Lyhne created and I really like the characters. Ethan is my favorite. He’s a pudgy, hairy bear of a guy with insecurities. What’s not to love! I’m glad to say that he came into his own in this third installment. When book two ended with the cliffhanger of the corporate lawyer’s identity being revealed, I was chewing at the bit waiting for what happened next. Well, I got it and I’m happy to say I loved where the story went.
In this installment, Ethan and Ryder’s relationship will be tested. There will be danger, drama and near death. There will be familial difficulties. There will be triumph. I’m not saying how they all happen or even what order they happen in. Suffice it to say I love the story right up to the last page. The last page closed the story down a little too quickly for me, but it is clear from the ending that the story is done.
I is sad. I wanted more! (And yes, I purposely used ‘is’, LOL.)
If you like a light sci-fi story, give the series a shot. I think you’ll enjoy it. It has to be read in order. All three books flow together and you wouldn’t have the backstories if you picked up mid-stream.
