Bestselling authors Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy return with their first Male / Male romance in 3 years.
LobsterShorts, 21. Jock. Secretly a science geek. Hot AF.
LobsterShorts: So. Here goes. For her birthday, my girlfriend wants…a threesome.
SinnerThree: Then you’ve come to the right hookup app.
LobsterShorts: Have you done this sort of thing before? With another guy?
SinnerThree: All the time. I’m an equal opportunity player. You?
LobsterShorts: [crickets!]
SinnerThree, 21. Finance major. Secretly a male dancer. Hot AF.
SinnerThree: Well, I’m down if you are. My life is kind of a mess right now. School, work, family stress. Oh, and I live next door to the most annoying dude in the world. I need the distraction. Are you sure you want this?
LobsterShorts: I might want it a little more than I’m willing to admit.
SinnerThree: Hey, nothing wrong with pushing your boundaries…
LobsterShorts: Tell that to my control-freak father. Anyway. What if this threesome is awkward?
SinnerThree: Then it’s awkward. It’s not like we’ll ever have to see each other again. Right? Just promise you won’t fall in love with me.
LobsterShorts: Now wouldn’t that be life-changing…

REVIEW:
It was a wonderful surprise to see a new MM novel by these two authors working together! I was very excited to start reading it!
Curious to how the blurb would work out and indeed wondering about those questions 🙂
The best thing about this book in my opinion is the texting! The interaction between both men in their texts is fabulous.
I love the way the authors worked out both men and their characters. I love how opposites attract and how their insecurities go for and against them.
Also I really liked the slight twist when you expect more confidence to come from one of them but the opposite happens and the other feels more secure and open in how he is and what he wants (not naming because I don’t want to spoil things).
But there were some things that for me could have worked better. I would have liked to have felt a bit more connection between Keaton and Luke. It seems they had more connection in their texts than in person so to speak. Its not that they didn’t work together, because they did. The opposite attracting, the outgoing, popular and rich Keaton with the girlfriend and his frat brothers, compared to the struggling Luke with the money problems, the horrible family, the secret sexy job. I loved how they did that. And I guess what I missed in their in-person connection was what they had in the texts. That openness and humor…the easy contact.
Kudo’s to Annika for how she acted and took it all in stride. Jude? I would like to seriously hurt him…To some of the other frat brothers a big yay to you. (especially in the epilogue).
The writing is. as always. excellent and it was great to be able to read a new story by these authors. Do despite some minor issues I had, I still very much enjoyed this story and would recommend it for sure .
I do hope that the authors don’t wait another three years to come with a new one 🙂
PS: There is an epilogue available on the site of one of the authors and very much worth the read also. It made the overall feeling of the book definitely more fulfilling for me.
