Everybody loves Pixie.
Everybody wants Pixie.
But Pixie needs a Daddy, and his heart is set on me.
I’m determined to resist him, for more reasons than I can count.
He’s too young for me. He’s my employee. And he’s everything I’ve been avoiding for half my life.
He’s vibrant. He’s sweet. He’s absolutely perfect, no matter how much I don’t want him to be.
I want nothing more than to take care of him, to protect him and pamper him…but how can I start something with him when I know I’ll eventually break his heart? Can I really be the Daddy Pixie needs?
**Pixie is the fifth and last book in the Ballsy Boys Production series. It can be read as a stand-alone, but it’s more fun reading the series in order.
REVIEW:
I had a real hard time starting this one because I knew it was the end of the series and I just wasn’t ready to let my Ballsy Boys go yet.
I have been waiting to hear Pixie and Bear’s story I knew it would be a good one if they ever got together. It was obvious that Pixie had feelings for Bear…he was his perfect type. And anyone who had eyes knew that Bear was very protective of Pixie. It didn’t take a rocket scientist to see that it was more than just employer concern for his employee too. Now these two have to finally get on the same page and open up about their past and their concerns but is that even possible???
I get that Bear was severely hurt by his past to even try to open his heart to the future but he is the most stubborn man I have read in quite awhile. I mean it takes his friend Travis’ last words while on his literal death bed to finally get through his thick head. But I loved when it finally hit home and he accepted it. “Eli.” He says my name gruffly, taking my chin between his thumb and forefinger and tilting my head so I’m looking him right in the eyes. “You’ve been mine since the minute I laid eyes on you. I was just too stubborn to accept it.”
As for Pixie (Eli), I love that he knew what kind of man and relationship he needs to survive and thrive. What I don’t get is that, even though you thrive under a “Daddy” you are a 21 year old man making good money and you need to know at least the bare basics as to how to take care of yourself and your finances until you can fall in love with your perfect Daddy. Pixie’s not stupid, naïve maybe, but he should have some common sense. Also, his ex, “Daddy” Luke, should have made sure that he had that skill set before he gave him all that money to pursue his dreams in LA. He should have included helping him find a place to live while enrolling him in a fashion school that he could afford. The credit card debt I get. It’s way too easy for kids to get credit cards and lose control. That’s what the banks count on. But he didn’t even seem to have the common sense to keep himself safe when going out to a bar. Passing out on a sidewalk outside a bar was both dangerous and stupid. I don’t want you to think that I didn’t like Pixie…I loved him and his tenacity to go after Bear repeatedly when shut down. And in his defense, Bear did send some mixed signals. But he scared me on how little he knew of real life. And I was relieve that Rebel and the rest of the boys had Pixies’s back when he needed it most. And that Bear took charge, like he should, when he discover what was happening.
I must say that I was thrilled to learn that we are going to get a spin-off series “Kinky Boys”! I am looking forward to getting to know Hunter more and can’t wait for more scenes like Bear and Pixie’s on there. That was freaking HOT!!!
I am thrilled to see Pixie get his Daddy Bear but it was really, really hard to say good bye to all those wonderful men at Ballsy Boys. They have become like family and it’s real hard to say Aloha. So I have my fingers crossed that we will see them from time to time in the new series. Absolutely GREAT SERIES that I have loved and looked forward to each book by these two amazing authors. Their books are gold in my opinion and I am a huge fan.
