After three years, Snow and Jude’s relationship is still passionate and strong. They’re getting ready for a romantic vacation at home when Jude receives a horrifying call no one wants to receive. His youngest brother was found barely clinging to life. While Jude’s family is rallying around Jordan, Jude is determined to find out what happened to him.
Snow and Jude follow the clues, investigating a side of Jordan’s life none of them knew about…and is far darker than any would have believed possible. They get pulled deeper into the seedy side of life, while echoes from a past Snow thought he walked away from return to offer an unexpected insight into the cause of Jordan’s injuries.
But someone else has noticed their involvement and is furious, putting them both in danger. The risk is high but so is Jude’s determination to find the truth—though the knowledge could very well fracture his heart.
REVIEW by Danielle
Let me start with saying first that I love this series. I am a series lover and this is one of the very very few I read more then once. The guys and their extended family have wurmed a way into my heart, and I was so looking forward to this new release because, let’s face it, who doesn’t want some more Jude and Snow. 😉
With the title and the teasers, I knew it would be a heavy one. Not that I was scared for Jude and Snow together, because I was pretty convinced the authors wouldn’t do something to mess that up, but I was very anxious to read this one. And it took me a while tbh to get to finishing the book and writing this review.
I love reading about all these men. For me that is the strength of this series – the men and their significant others, their relationships etc. With the this story, for me, the dark plot took away from that. I found myself longing to read the parts when they were together, like the breakfast at Ian’s or the moments at Lucas and Andrei’s place. Those were the highlights for me and the last chapter could have been like a dozen pages more for me reading about all of them together, if that makes sense…
The writing and storytelling is, as always, supurb – the authors sure know how to tell their story and make you involved as a reader.
Like the erotic parts between Snow and Jude ….wow get your showers ready because they sure how it going. 🙂
So yes I am glad I read this book. I am still longing for more, but for me, I hope to read more of those special moments together.
And as I don’t want to spoiler, I will keep it general, but please Miss Authors, tell me we are going to be reading more about what was said at the end. 😉

JEN’S REVIEW:
Far warning – I am going to probably be in the minority on this one. Obviously, I love this series, or I wouldn’t have made it this far. And Jude and Snow are one of my favorite couples in this series. So, it was exciting to see we would be getting more of them. I was looking forward to seeing how things were going for them. Unfortunately, I had a few issues with this story that prevented me from really enjoying it.
First, we have an established couple – surely there are not many people picking this up as their first book in the series. So, it felt needless and repetitive for them to remind us on almost every other page in the beginning how much they love each other. It felt like they were counting the ways and letting us know in case we really didn’t believe them. Fortunately, or unfortunately, however you may look at it, when things with Jude’s brother took a nosedive, that issue cleared itself up because they were too distracted with that.
This story then focuses on Jude figuring out what happened and trying to come up with clues and answers. Things get pretty crazy, but the story was interesting nonetheless. I won’t go into more details, but suffice to say, heed the warnings on this one, as they may trigger some people.
The other issue that niggled at me and had me going back and forth on this review was the baby issue. I will admit that I am not a huge fan of children in my stories, but when done right, I can actually enjoy it. However, (and again, maybe it is me) it seems that lately many authors these days feel that any committed couple isn’t fully complete without wanting/having children. I don’t have issues with men having or wanting children, but it certainly seems lately as though this has to be the next logical step in a relationship. There is more to this in relation to this story and why I believe this is happening more and more, but I will stop here. Suffice to say, I am chalking this up to me getting older and pickier about my stories and leave it at that.
Those who love these guys will surely be happy to see them again, and as I said, I am definitely going to be in the minority on this one and my niggles, so I can confidently recommend this either way, as the writing itself was spot on, as we have come to expect from this dynamic writing duo. As always, the group/couple dynamics are still there and still what make this series so enjoyable, imo. I loved seeing the other characters and how they always pull together as a family when need be.
