Hi thanks for reading me on Lovebytes today!
I’m in the middle of painting my bedroom today so my apologies for the paint splatter 🙂 ,
Wow,
Winter 2019 has been a VERY exciting time in this writer’s life, I literally just finishing up the last *official* book in my Accidental Roots series. I can’t believe it’s just been a little over two years since I tentatively sent lovebytes, joyfullyjay and novel approach emails wondering if anyone would want to review a book by a newbie.
The answer was ‘yes’, they’d see if any of their reviewers would it up. Obviously someone did, and for that I can’t say thank you enough.
THANK YOU so much for all the hard work, for tirelessly chasing down authors when they forget they scheduled a post date, for supporting the industry, for being you.
If I had the time or the knowledge it’d be cool to offer up a ground breaking post with tips on How to Write or How to Promo but alas those subjects have already been written umpteen times I personally don’t think there is a magic bullet when it comes to indie pubbing.
There’s no universal formula for what makes a book sell or why readers choose one over the other. More often than not it is a mixture of chance, blood, sweat, and tears, good friends who take you out for a drink after the dust has settled and a good editor. Never underestimate your editor.
‘When It Rains’, drops April 2, but there are a few characters who still need their story. For those who have been with me from early days, when I published Storm Season by the seat of my pants having no idea what I was doing, only knowing if I didn’t hit the button I’d never hit the button –those amazing readers be assured, I am not abandoning characters.
There will be an Accidental Roots holiday novella this November – not telling who J. I’m also dabbling in paranormal romance – this is a stretch for me I’ve read quite a bit pf paranormal but never managed to finish my own novel. Hopefully it won’t go the way of my space opera which I finally completely deleted after it sat on my hard drive for ten years.
I’m working on a super sekret project as well, so keep your eyes for that announcement.
Thanks for putting up with me today, if you’d like to see what I’m doing join my facebook group Elle’s Belle’s (yes, lots of bad AC/DC puns), follow me on Bookbub or even Instagram if that’s your jam.
Again, thank you for taking the chance, thank for reading me, thank you.
Until next time,
Love, Elle
Blurb:
Beto Hernandez’s objective: Break the human trafficking ring plaguing Skagit once and for all. He’s not in Skagit to make friends—he’s kicking ass first and taking names later. Maybe. He crosses paths with an intriguing and sexy man, the first in years to spark Beto’s interest. It’s ultimate bad timing, though; no one in Skagit can be trusted.
Who is Carsten Quinn, and where does he fit in Beto’s investigation? Beto tries to stay away from Carsten but their undeniable chemistry keeps him close.
Carsten Quinn survived years in hell to return to “normal life,” and he has his own mission in Skagit. The only problem is he’s hiding, not living anything like a normal life. When his closest friend is severely injured it’s up to Carsten to finish gathering evidence to put some very bad people behind bars and he knows all too well he can’t trust anyone, especially not the law.
Ironically, the law appears anyway, in the form of a sexy cop he can’t stop thinking about; when Carsten’s past comes back with a vengeance, he has no one else to turn to.
Is happiness too much to hope for? Are Beto and Carsten too different and too broken to trust anyone, much less each other?
Release Date: April 2nd, 2019
Elle Keaton hails from the northwet (hahaha) corner of the US where we are known for rain, rain and more rain. I write the Accidental Roots series, set here in the Pacific Northwest featuring hot mm romance and the guarantee of a happy ending for my men. They start out broken, and maybe they end up that way too, but they always find the other half of their hearts. I started writing way back when but only began publishing about two years ago and now have seven (almost eight) books out. Each features a couple in my little universe, sometimes there is added mystery and suspense. Currently, I am working on the ninth in the series as well as a mm paranormal romance. I’m dabbling with an m/f set in the same universe as Accidental Roots, featuring a character who has been around from the beginning who really needs her own HEA.
