Massive world tours. Over a hundred million albums sold. Groupies galore.
Every day is a party for Viper and the guys of TBD, the biggest rock band in the world. But it all comes to a screeching halt when the lead singer walks out of the studio one day and never comes back.
Ear-blistering vocals. Butchered lyrics. Fame chasers.
After months of lackluster auditions, Viper, the lead guitarist and resident bad boy of the group, is ready to find solace in the bottom of a bottle. Time’s running out and the pressure’s on to find a new singer, but it isn’t until an angel walks through the door that the band’s prayers are answered.
Charismatic. Talented. Magic behind the mic. Halo is everything they’ve been looking for.
With a voice to match his stunning good looks, it isn’t long before Viper’s taking notice. But there are several reasons this is a bad idea:
1.Interpersonal relationships in the band are discouraged
2.Viper has already broken rule #1—big mistake
3.Halo is straight
Too bad Viper’s body isn’t listening to his head—at least not the one on his shoulders. But you can’t fake chemistry, not onstage and certainly not off it, and Viper and Halo? They have it in spades.
As both men try to resist the fire blazing between them, and the band is forced to reinvent themselves, it’ll be a complicated rise back to the top. But from the ashes of what was, something beautiful is born. Something better. And when the world finally sees Halo stretch his wings, they’ll discover what it’s like to fall for an angel.
BOOK ONE OF THE FALLEN ANGEL SERIES
A ROCK ROMANCE
REVIEW:
Wow let’s face it when these two authors decide to write together they damn well Write and Deliver!
It is definitely worth the wait in seeing what they come up with this time. This story brings rock stars, music, band players, friendship, sexy men…gosh it is right up my alley, I can tell you that.
This story is the start of their new series and it is fabulous! From meeting the main “players” as well as the rest of the “cast” till the very sexy ending, this book is an incredible read.
I loved the slow built up and how Halo gets introduced to the band. I especially like the way the authors took the interaction between Halo and Viper to another level without making less of the story, the characters and how the story would evolve.
Certain things stand out, like the humor at parts, the playfulness and without a doubt, the sexy parts blew me away!
I am not going to go into details as this is something you need to find out yourself by reading it.
If I need to make one small complaint, I would have loved to have to read a little bit more at the end. Once you have read this story it will make sense what I mean. I am curious if the authors will pick up where they left 🙂
Halo’s innocence compared to the snarky, experienced Viper is more than an opposite attract though. The connection is instant despite Halo being “straight”.
The authors did a wonderful job bringing them together slowly, building their connection from instant attraction to more.
I absolutely loved the interaction of the guys. Whether all of them together or separately when there was music involved. The songs, the emotions, the feelings. I could picture myself being part of those performances in rehearsal or with Halo behind the piano.
I do have to say I am kind of afraid of what kind of drama will come because you just know it will be coming and boy would I love to read this all in one go instead of over the 3 months (thank god it is only 3 months! ) time period it will be released.
Can I just say that I so much hope that Killian will also get his story and I wonder is Slade as straight as he claims to be and… well you get the picture 🙂
Bring it on ladies I am (not so) patiently waiting for the rest….
